My own brew for Elves in Pauper.

I played a lot of Ezuri, Renegade Leader in EDH and have always enjoyed elves in kitchen-table. When I discovered pauper, and found that Elves was a good deck in the competitive scene, I knew I had to build it. The card I was most excited about being able to play reliably was Lys Alana Huntmaster - one of my first decks on Magic Duels with friends was a BG Elves deck was pretty objectively bad, and Huntmaster was one of the few ways it ever won.

However, after playing the meta Elves deck for a couple hundred games now, I've come to the conclusion that Huntmaster isn't the card this deck wants for a curve topper. While Lead the Stampede and Distant Melody usually do a great job of refilling your hand, Elves typically has effectively infinite mana by turn 3-4. Hand-vomit is totally possible, and unless you sandbag until you get a Huntmaster, that Huntmaster is pointless. I'd rather just win on turn 3.

Enter Wildheart Invoker. This card is the Ezuri, Renegade Leader of Pauper - it serves as a way to dump your neigh-infinite mana into a productive sink that quickly ends the game. It is a Timberwatch Elf with haste.

Her best friend is Copperhorn Scout; these are copies 5-8 of Quirion Ranger. Better in some circumstances, worse in others.
