Hey,this is just a prototype more or less for a mono blue mill deck I'm working on for standard. Any comments/suggestions are welcome as always!
A fair amount of creatures with Jace's Phantasm being an alt win con of sorts. This deck thrives around milling your opponent down, and I'm trying to keep all the cards within the deck an option for post rotation in October.
Archaeomancer is their to retrieve the staple mill cards like Mind Sculpt or Thought Scour and counters like
Dissipate
and Mana Leak
Geralf's Mindcrusher
is a pretty rad card imo. for 6 mana, you essentially get a 5/5 and then a 6/6 creature, along with milling 10 cards. Not that bad, but like I said, it's just my opinion.
Shriekgeist
kind of helps out in the mill department, but a little slow for my taste. But, he still mills, so hopefully it will work out
My sideboard consists of cards that would essentially turn the deck into "Battle-Mill", turning cards like
Shriekgeist
and Mindshrieker turn into giant creatures with lots of milling the process from cards like Trepantion Blade and Sword of Body and Mind
Essence Scatter and Devastation Tide are there for decks with big nasty creatures out 24/7, or decks that ramp up in tokens
Last but not least
Sands of Delirium
is their for constant milling in small doses, or large chunks in late game.
