My take on a generic Mardu Burn list. Deck-list being revised.

Niveous Wisps and Renegade Tactics are your better Searing Blaze removing any small or large-sized creature for a turn, cantrips into a burn to the face spell, provides double prowess triggers, doesn't require landfall to work, and you can draw off your own creatures for value against creature-less decks. Costing 1 mana also makes them more flexible with our other spells

Shard Volley - Given this deck's 11 cantrips it's surprisingly easy to end up with a surplus of lands, and since most spells in deck costs 1 mana losing a land or two is entirely negligible making it effectively Lightning Bolts 5 through 8. (And thus a stronger inclusion than the much slower Rift Bolt.)
