This deck is a hybrid of the legacy archetype, Nic-Fit, and the former standard archetype, Cat-Oven. I like to call it, Sac Attack.
It can easily be turned into a modern deck where it is more viable by cutting the
Once Upon a Time
s and replacing them with
Night's Whisper
. The
Veteran Explorer
can be replaced with
Gilded Goose
. with these replacements the deck loses constistency, but still maintains its themes.
It's Sac outlets are
Carrion Feeder
, which is just fun when it goes off, becoming a large threat rather quickly. then we have a non-repeatable sac outlet in the form of Witches Oven, which is incredibly synergistic with
Cauldron Familiar
, can be found by
Ancient Stirrings
and stack.
Our creatures to sacrafice are really only
Cauldron Familiar
, and
Veteran Explorer
. cauldron familiar is really the only wincon in the deck, but
Once Upon a Time
exists.
Our triggers are
Zulaport Cutthroat
and
Essence Warden
. they are pretty self explanatory.
to make food tokens for our cat, we have
Trail of Crumbs
which is mostly used as a value engine but i guess it makes a food token.
Giant Opportunity
is mostly a combo piece alongside
Carrion Feeder
and
Cauldron Familiar
, but on occasion is a win con.
Gilded Goose
takes advantage of our extra food tokens, AND makes one
