Pseudo-Infinite Cat (Now without Oven!)

Pioneer BRG (Jund) Competitive Mill Sacrifice Tokens

Elsterooo

Maybeboard

Welp, I ended up making a non-budget deck again for once. I PROCLAIM THIS DECK'S NAME IS

Roots'n Foods.

Cauldron Familiar + Ygra, Eater of All + Tyvar, Jubilant Brawler + Insidious Roots. Depending on your boardstate, this can go almost infinite.

I don't really think I need to explain much. I'm sure people tried/are trying Ydra + Catoven. So here's my version for it.

To be honest, this deck can still get tweaked but I am really happy with it as is.

Update:

I have decided to include a (already outdated!) Golgari version, which is now the maybeboard, like I did before. There is basically a lot of 4x, 3x, questions and fiddling around needed now. Splitting red or not is also a big factor.

I have once again devolved into Tyvar + Priest of Forgotten Gods for the Golgari version (also gives reason for the Rotten Reunion inclusion, which additionally synergizes with Roots), because it results in the biggest payoff. My assumption is that even when dropping a Priest on T2 on an empty board, it's not a terrible loss. Especially when there's a Scavenger's Talent on the field, the upsides should be enough to warrant this inclusion. I do still tend towards the Jund version, by a substantial amount, however.

Roots are a 3x, actually. You also don't need Oven. Yes, I repeat, you don't need Oven.

Biggest questions are how much of Tyvar, Talent, Gooze, Overlord, Deadly Dispute and the possible inclusion of Tinybones, the Pickpocket and Fable of the Mirror-Breaker

Focus on your main wincon of Cat + Ygar, while also adhering to the second wincons of Root tokens, or overpowering with value. Don't underestimate the third level of Talent. I only played once against Mono Red Aggro, but consistently ended the game on T5 with the main wincon. My deck was almost always around 30 cards by then.

The deck's weakness is the early game, funnily enough. Depending on your draw and opponent, fill your graveyard as quickly as possible. Your slowest hand is basically nothing but le Goose and Tyvar, because he can wiff but needs to come down due to tempo.

Update: After trying to make Insidious Roots work as much as possible, Fable of the Mirror-Breaker  , Priest of Forgotten Gods, etc. unfortunately just works so much better. It's still a good card, but basically needs too much support for it to work. Use the ramp early game and then swarm with it. The interaction with Tyvar, Jubilant Brawler is just so much fun, so I'm leaving this list as it is. Try different 3x's in its place and you'll be fine. Tinybones, the Pickpocket has been incredibly strong for the deck. What my list does differently is basically keep the midrange power as a wincon, but with a heavier focus on getting the Ygra-combo off as quickly as possible.
