This is a modern version of the mono black devotion list that is currently very strong in the Theros Standard metagame. It has a Vampire tribal subtheme, giving a high amount of devotion, a fast clock once Vampire Nocturnus hits the table (in case you do want to race your opponent down, UWC almost guarantees a black card on top) and an overall controlling aspect with Malakir and Nighthawk to stall out the game and win with card advantage / Garyparty.
