Sideboard

This is my attempt at creating a creature storm deck.

This deck was originally mono-red but other colors have creeped in over time.

For early game advantage you can roll a Burning-Tree Emissary into Myr Superion for a 2/2 and 5/6 for a little board presence.

The idea is to get out around 5+ spells turn 3-4 and cast Empty the Warrens for 12+ goblins, then drop a Hellrider the following turn for 15+ automatic damage when declaring attackers.

What if you storm off and don't draw empty the warrens ?

1) Assuming you played a creature you can drop Myr Superion and have two mana left over.

2) Or you can drop a Hellrider on that mana because turn 3-4 Hellrider with board presence is never bad.

My logic on splashing white is that I usually have +Mana ETB's on the field so on half the mana Cloudshift is either just as effective as a rite (in the case of Burning-Tree Emissary or twice as effective ( Priest of Urabrask .

Ideal game?

turn 1: Mana Confluence -> Chromatic Star

Turn 2: Mountain -> Generator Servant

Turn 3: Play Ornithopter, Battlefield Forge and then Manamorphose declaring red and ...? Pay two life for Gitaxian Probe. Sacrifice Generator Servant and play Priest of Urabrask . Use a red to sac Chromatic Star for white for Cloudshift. use two more floating red to cast Myr Superion, then tap out for Empty the Warrens and drop 14 goblins onto the field.

Potentially that play could be better based on luck (I've managed 18 goblins on two land mana before) but that does basically everything I want the deck to do.

Oh and then drop Hellrider on turn 4 like a boss. Now that your goblins are ready to attack Hellrider can get in for 18 life just by swinging all out on turn four.

Though possibly one of my least favorite cards in the deck, cloud of faeries isn't legal... Haha */#hangsheadindespair
