Ikoria looks like it might bring playable dinosaurs into Standard again. Dinosaur tribal is back.

This deck's main strategy is simple, to play lots of Dinosaurs. OK... maybe not quite that simple. There are several high costed dinosaurs in this deck but there is a trick to bringing them into play... Unpredictable Cyclone. The idea is that you cycle Titanoth Rex or Yidaro (which has the added benefit of recycling itself) while Unpredictable Cyclone is on the battlefield and you can then cheat one of the many powerful dinosaurs in the deck like Godzilla and Quartzwood Crasher onto the battlefield without paying their mana costs!

If you can't pull this off, Reptillian Reflection provides an alternate outlet to cycling. Marauding Raptor is in the deck since it's a dinosaur that reduces the casting cost of creatures, allowing you to cast your dinosaurs for cheaper, plus you can actaully get the attack benefit. Since it's a dinosaur deck we're playing one of the best dinosaurs in Standard, Shifting Ceratops. Kaheera was the companion for the deck since it works with Dinosaur tribal in spite of not being a dinosaur itself but is now main deck... just make sure you cast it while Godzilla is on the field if you already have a Marauding Raptor out, otherwise it will die instantly to the Raptor... whoops!

Ratios still need to be worked on. I've put Adventurous Impulse in the deck since it helps you dig through your deck for 1 mana for creatures, so basically a hand extention on turn 1. I changed Charge of the Forever-Beast for Lava Coil in terms of removal in order to help the deck a bit and I also dropped Rhythm of the Wild in exchange for card draw and a form of ramp by way of Kiora.

Ketria Triome is being tested in this deck for additional card draw as well as enabling the Castles like Castle Garenbrig to help cast Titanoth Rex's mana cost... not that we want to be doing that of course.
