Golgari Evolution is a proactive sacrifice–value deck that thrives on interaction, turning every creature into card advantage, mana, counters, or recursion. With Carrion Feeder and Village Rites, opposing removal becomes an advantage, while Shambling Ghast and Blood Pet provide early tempo and resource conversion. The core engine, Evolution Witness, triggers from any +1/+1 counters—including adapt, Sadistic Glee, and Bannerhide Krushok — allowing constant recursion of key permanents and enabling powerful value or infinite loops. Bannerhide Krushok doubles as instant-speed pressure, a counter enabler, and a recurring threat, while Malevolent Rumble smooths early turns, stockpiles mana, and fuels the graveyard for later dominance. A single Rancor adds trample and inevitability, easily recurring through sacrifice or Witness triggers, and efficient interaction like Cast Down and Chainer's Edict clears the way. The deck wins by outlasting removal-heavy strategies, snowballing incremental advantages, and closing games with sudden pumps or massive trampling threats.
