My version of Explorer Cavalcade of Calamity. Play with Fire is my only direct damage spell, preferring the extra creatures over the Lightning Strike.

Two of each Chandra, I find they both have real value in the deck. Chandra, Dressed to Kill is just great, the plus ability proccing the Spitfire and Pyreling while giving mana, which often means I can play something else on the turn she comes down. Chandra, Acolyte of Flame is the OG Chandra for this deck, and she works great with Cavalcade while also letting us recycle a Play with Fire. The extra loyalty for the other Chandra is a niche use.

I've opted for Grim Initiate over Tin Street Dodger. First Strike improves the mirror, and makes him harder to block with mana open. The Amass makes it effectively a 2-for-1 against removal, and is really good at maintaining pressure through board wipes.

So far I've got a decent win percentage in BO1, with skins including Angels, UW control, Esper Control, RDW and the mirror; mostly unranked, but I'll have a go at laddering over the next couple of seasons.

Sokenzan, Crucible of Defiance is just incredible in this deck. Once you get to 4 mana you really don't need it as a land, so it effectively makes this a 17 land deck on many draws. The hasty 1/1s can be a finisher out of nowhere. Castle Embereth is also great at pushing through extra damage or threatening trade-ups once you get to 4 mana, and as you often end up hell-bent/heck-bent it's nice to have the mana sink.

It's surprising how often this deck wins on precise damage. A number of times I've won just because the opponent misjudges blockers, so I expect that my win percentage will drop as people get more used to this deck in the meta, but I enjoy this deck in no small part because it requires careful consideration when ordering plays and declaring attacks.

Not sure how I'd sideboard in BO3, possibly more direct damage to switch towards RDW? I still need to figure out the bad match-ups, but I figure mid-range decks have my number, so it's likely to focus on overcoming those.
