Sideboard

So here is a deck that I made a long time ago which worked surprisingly well, and is just really fun to play with. However, the manabase may need some adjusting, so your input on it is much apreciated.

Basicaly, this deck is based around two ideas. Counters, and the element of surprise.Your strategies will revolve a lot around using +1/+1 counters to boost your creatures, using cards like Corpsejack Menace and Vorel of the Hull Clade.

However, the element of surprise is that this deck is built so your oponent never will expect what to come. You could either use Sage of Hours to get an infinite turn combo. Or you could crush your oponents with a enormous Kalonian Hydra. Or maybe you want to go really agressive and simply stomp them with a Lotleth Troll? They will never know what hit them.

This deck is actually really agressive considering its content and cost of creatures. With a really good hand so will you have a super buff hydra and win at turn 5. otherwise you will probably win at about turn 6 or 7, going after the playtesting I have done.

Gyre Sage, Sylvian Caryatid amd Birds of Paradise are all there to ramp your mana better in the early game. Since this deck is 4-colored so will it need the extra mana.

Ajani, Mentor of Heroes is kind of straight forward. He is there to provide +1/+1 counters.

Prophet of Kruphix may seem like an odd creature to add, however the abbility to play creatures on your oponents turn, while also untapping all your creatures, is giving the deck a huge boost. Especially if you play a Kalonian Hydra at the end of their turn.

Abzan Charm is good for either removal, give you more cards or to give some needed counters.

The Sideboard have Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, Prime Speaker Zegana and Citadel Siege for several reasons. Citadel Siege is a good source for +1/+1 counters. Prime Speaker Zegana will give you loads of cards and become a huge creature for relativly low cost. Just be careful not to self-mill.Jarads purpose is just another surprise win-con, since then you can surprise your oponent my sacrificing your 15/15 Zegana.

The lands may need some adjustments, but what do you guys think? Please leave your own suggestions on how to improve this deck. It is surprisingly good.
