Budget Shamanism- Forging That Rage

Modern BRG (Jund) Budget Competitive Tribal

Jackfrost23

Jund Shamans is an aggressive tribal deck that dumps your hand onto the battlefield and hopes your opponent does not have a board wipe. I have actually had incredible results with this considering it is a budget tribal deck competing in a brutal modern landscape. Sadly though I do not have the time to playtest this as much as I would like so it would be incredible if you could try it out and post your results/feedback in the comments, I would especially love help with the sideboard.

The Deck

Rage Forger

This is the only reason anyone would ever play a shaman tribal list ever. This card is nuts, a three mana pseudo-lord that pumps all our creatures permanently. After buffing your creatures it then turns into a Hellrider dealing huge damage when your creatures attack. This is especially important because now your attackers deal damage even when their blocked. This card is so great that we are running 12 in the form of Flamekin Harbinger and Judith, the Scourge Diva.

Burning-Tree Emissary

This deck wins with its huge explosiveness and this is the way that it gets its fast starts. T1 one drop, T2 Burning-Tree Emissary into a Metallic Mimic and then a T3 Rage Forger is bonkers.

Metallic Mimic

Because the shaman tribe has no real lords we use this instead. It also has the upside of synergizing really well with Rage Forger by putting counters on our creatures.

Spikeshot Elder

Shaman's one drops leave much to be desired. Most other shaman decks I've seen run Firedrinker Satyr in this slot but that card is literal trash. Spikeshot Elder, although not being amazing has done some serious work for the deck, killing my opponent's Birds of Paradise and with a Rage Forger and Metallic Mimic this card becomes a repeatable Lightning Bolt.

Elvish Visionary helps with card draw, Lightning Bolt for removal or that last bit of damage, and Atarka's Command is a versatile threat that can act as a temporary lord. If you liked the deck, again please leave feedback and try testing it out (and of course an upvote would not hurt)!
