Birds of Prey (Flying High)

Legacy

Sideboard

My first (budget) legacy deck.

Island Sanctuary - a big reason why this deck kicks. Consider it a very cheap Moat for this deck.

Sky Hussar - we still have to draw cards, right? Tapping creatures isn't a huge deal when your opponent can't attack. Did I mention he hits rather hard?

Pride of the Clouds - bird Tarmogoyf? Maybe not, but he'll feel that way. Requires immediate attention, lest he run away with the game.

Augury Owl - rather weak, but scrying is important.

Stormscape Familiar - a big reason why 19 lands is acceptable.

Squadron Hawk - the infamous bird fits perfectly in a deck that wants more birds.

Azorius First-Wing - strong beater for a low cost.

Cloudreach Cavalry - yet another strong beater for cheap.

Aven Mindcensor - weakens tutors and fetches. Seems strong in legacy.

Path to Exile/Swords to Plowshares - standard white removal.

Honor of the Pure - let's make those birds do work!

Glacial Fortress/Mystic Gate - as cheap as a mana base as we can get.

Leyline of Sanctity - stop the storm before it stops you.

Leyline of the Void - dredge uses the graveyard, or so I've heard.

Sunscour - the cheap (and fast) Day of Judgment.

Oblivion Ring - sometimes it's more than creatures that need to be removed.
