Ever wanted to beat your opponent to a pulp while constantly flooding the field? Attack from all angles with Pauper Elves.

Pauper Elves is a fun to play creature combo deck that abuses the incredible synergies among elf creatures to flood the field early and end games quickly. Here is a quick rundown of the list.

The Mana: These are your ways to play the game.

  • 12x Forest: Well, you gotta run some lands at least, but we run as few as possible to maximize elf-y goodness.

  • 1x Island: To cast distant melodies. You don't really want this to be the land you start with, so there is only the single copy, tutorable via Sylvan Ranger.

  • 3x Llanowar Elves: The OG. Helps you ramp to flood the board early. Everything this deck wants to be doing. You want a lot of this effect.

  • 3x Elvish Mystic: Copies 4-6 of Llanowar Elves.

  • 2x Fyndhorn Elves: Copies 7-8 of Llanowar Elves. Playing diverse copies gives you game against effects that target same-named dudes. Small gain but one that costs nothing to the deck.

  • 4x Birchlore Rangers: He makes all of your critters do the same as the last few, though at half efficiency, but with the added bonus of ignoring summoning sickness. Add in a Nettle Sentinel to build your own Llanowar Elves!

  • 4x Quirion Ranger: This card is stupid. Lets you reuse your dudes and your lands, because lets face it, you probably missed your land drop.

  • 4x Priest of Titania: We all knew it was heading here. Lets you cast tons as soon as you can tap her.

--

The Beef: These are your ways to win games.

  • 4x Timberwatch Elf: This guy is the way you will win most games. If they cannot remove him he will win the game for you. Just swing with more creatures than they have blockers, and pump the one that gets through. Use Quirion Ranger for extra pumps.

  • 3x Elvish Vangaurd: He gets big and deals lots of damage. It's that easy. Swing with lots of little guys to make it more frustrating for the opponent.

  • 3x Lys Alana Huntmaster: When you play guys it makes more guys for you. Pairs nicely with Birchlore Rangers. For the longest time I thought the character in the art was a girl... the more you know.

  • 3x Wellwisher: Makes you hard to kill. Pretty self explanitory I'd think. I'm not a huge fan of lifegain but in Pauper it's a lot harder to put enough pressure on to beat how much this gal will gain you.

  • 2x Viridian Longbow: This card shoots down fliers or opponents for you. Lookin' at you Delver of Secrets  .

--

The Draw: For when you run out of cards, or just want to keep going.

  • 2x Elvish Visionary: Good card, not a Smash Mouth or anything though.

  • 4x Distant Melody: One card combo! It's a stretch, since your entire deck is built to make it good, but still. Excellent card, draws you millions, and lets you make millions of elves to end the game with.
