Piston-Fist Cyclops
Creature — Cyclops
Defender
As long as you've cast an instant or sorcery spell this turn, Piston-Fist Cyclops can attack as though it didn't have defender.

Heyo, Im trying to make a Defender aggro deck for Pauper. It's weird, I know, but lemme explain. Basically I got creatures like Prismari Pledgemage, Nivix Cyclops, and Piston-Fist Cyclops acting as very strong attackers relative to their mana value while Thermo-Alchemist and Vent Sentinel sit back and deal damage. I just need to figure out good instants and sorceries that can turn my beefy defenders into insane attackers, but I'm having trouble figuring out which ones are best suited for the job. I'm definitely including a playset of Lightning Bolt, no question about that, but what else would work? Im thinking of tapping down my opponent's creatures while buffing my own with first strike and the like, so I included Warlord's Fury, but yeah I'm kind of at a loss since Im still new to Pauper. Any suggestions?

You can summon Piston-Fist Cyclops using only blue mana, you don't need to use red mana.

Have you thought about using Golden Guardian Flip or Piston-Fist Cyclops?

My play tests have shown that Radical Idea and Chemister's Insight are essential to this deck. If I don't have Niv out, they help cycle through to pull Niv. If I do have Niv out then they are the beginnings of a nasty cycle of damage I'm about to deal in response to any attempt to remove Niv or to finish the game. More than 50% of the people I play have been quitting in the arena when I start the cycle of card draw, damage, jump start in arena.
I understand the rationale behind people suggesting Ral, Izzet Viceroy but he just doesn't fit this deck in my opinion. His +1 doesn't trigger Niv and wastes a card I may need if it isn't a jump start card. His -3 is fine, but better suited for a Wizard deck with more spells than I'm running. Sure it's sold removal, but it only keeps you from hitting his ultimate that much longer. His -8 is the only valuable part of the card and I have to make it there. He is extreme late game and I don't think I should ever be playing that late. Sarkhan, Fireblood on the other hand directly feeds Niv with his first +1, helps cast Niv with his 2nd +1, and throws out 4 monsters to clutter the field and possibly provide an alternate win con if you never see Niv.
Piston-Fist Cyclops and Thousand-Year Storm are the two cards I'd most consider swapping out but if I did it would be for Enigma Drake and probably Ionize or Risk Factor

Might I suggest replacing Chemister's Insight for Ionize and Piston-Fist Cyclops for Enigma Drake, Runaway Steam-Kin, or Ral, Izzet Viceroy?

I like it. I'm always a fan of decks with a driving theme behind them. Integrity / Intervention might be a good idea. And you could always add a Piston-Fist Cyclops or two if you wanted to beef up your defenses.

I think you can improve yourself by switching Guttersnipe for Electrostatic Field. Yes it only does 1 damage rather than two but the benefits are it is cheaper to cast and surives both shock and lightning strike. Another card you should consider, especially if you end up working a chain of Niv+Electromancer+Field, is Radical Idea and with the Goblin on board it only costs to cast.
Here's a similar concept I am working on. It was at 97% Competitive but I swapped in Sulfur Falls, and traded Piston-Fist Cyclops for Murmuring Mystic and now I can't seem to find the magic number again.

I'm not sure you have enough instants/sorceries to make Leapfrog or Piston-Fist Cyclops worth it. Also you made a few typos on some cards so they don't show up properly.
