Creature — Goblin Artificer

Tap: Flip a coin. If you win the flip, draw a card. Otherwise, counter target artifact spell you control that isn't the target of an ability from another creature named Goblin Artisans.

NoOneOfConsequence You are right, Karplusan Minotaur may not seem a great card, but it's the only one, other than my commanders and Chance Encounter , that cares about me winning coin flips, so it adds more value to all the other coin flipping cards in this deck. It makes me flip more coins thanks to the cumulative upkeep and the drawback of losing the flips is minimum. Sometimes there is no drawback, because I choose the opponent when I lose a flip, so I can play this card in a more political way. And when I win, I can always decide to direct the damages to the minotaur itself and destroy it If I'm going to risk too much with it in play.

That said, I'm surely missing some worthwhile coin flipping cards but I think the best ones are already in the "maybeboard" list, like Planar Chaos or Game of Chaos . I'm still struggling to find a room for them, but I think they are way better than Goblin Artisans . Maybe I can replace the minotaur with one of this two...

Have you considered playing Goblin Artisans over, say, Thassa, God of the Sea ? I know she's very important for unblockability, but I'm just trying to suggest potential cuts. Maybe Long-Term Plans ?

Karplusan Minotaur is an absolute monster.

Dont think I like Fog Bank , why are you stalling? Is this deck that slow? After seeing the whole deck, i like fogbank even less. It feels like a filler card Venser, Shaper Savant is a better call, Whirlpool Warrior I like better, it just feels like it doesnt help the greater goal ya know.

Goblin Artisans , surely there are better coin flip triggers out there.

I stand by Boompile , i think in here its better than the disk

i also suspect that while this deck is likely to win a lot its gonna be crap to play AGAINST. Im not generally a fan of cards that say "take an extra turn", but I guess when you think about it, if upkeeps or tapping creatures is how you generate your coin flips, then you need more untap phases, more upkeeps. Good build man

Here's a primer from a couple years ago! It's got some gems you're missing like Nether Void , Ice Cave , and Goblin Artisans .

Pay special attention to the section about stealing artifacts from your opponents' decks. I noticed you're not running staples like Sol Ring , so I would check out the most commonly played artifacts page at EDHREC to see what you can double up on by playing from your opponents' decks with stuff like Thada Adel, Acquisitor , as well as the page for Mishra, himself.

@K34 Goblin Cannon. Goblin Grenade. Goblin Archaeologist. Goblins have been using gunpowder and cannons for a while.

Those Goblin Artisans are smart!
