When Dovin's Acuity enters the battlefield, you gain 2 life and draw a card.

Whenever you cast an instant spell during your main phase, you may return Dovin's Acuity to its owner's hand.

The interaction with Dovin's Acuity is a good point for Chandra's Outrage, but then again I'm sure there would be better options, maybe Slaying Fire?

If you struggle with life-gain mostly for dealing with aggro decks, you should try The Birth of Meletis, it doesn't look like much but it's an incredibly useful card that actually sees a lot of play, and for good reasons. It would allow you to play more untapped lands as well as drawing your more lands, should be very beneficial.

Hello dan and thank you for your input. I must admit Clear the Mind actually has saved me from milling myself out on more than one occasion. I do also agree with scorching dragonfire but the thing is Jayas greeting and the scry ability has personally helped me more times than not, though I do run both in the deck. Another worthy note is the fabled passage recommendation, but I find myself extremely low life without that little boost, as I run zero creatures and kind of need that to survive against those lovely mono red players lol. As for the last recommendation of dropping chandras outrage, I can’t. Any time I remove it I find myself needing that removal and damage in game, not to mention that it triggers Dovin's Acuity Which then gives me another card to draw and another 2 life. I’m working on a version 2 of this which will show more of the recommended changes and the added bonus of Shark Typhoon which just gets silly

I like the idea of using Enchantments with Whirlwind of Thought rather than just instants/sorceries, especially with Dovin's Acuity! I wonder if you could use 1-2 Dance of the Manse as a lategame threat? I'm also not sure Heartfire fits here; Lava Coil or Scorching Dragonfire is probably better in case you need it as early removal.

Depending on your local meta, 2-3 mainboard Mystical Dispute might be a good idea, to help protect your Sprite Dragons and counter opposing Time Wipes, counterspells, Tef3ris, etc.

Would've been brutal with some of the Addendum permanents. Cast one thing with an ETB effect, return it to hand with Abrogate, then use its mana to cast another ETB permanent. (Dovin's Acuity and Disinformation Campaign would've made a brutal Esper control deck)

Using normally-sized fonts only, make a colorless artifact creature that syngergizes with instants and sorceries!

I agree with Deckbrewer. Try removing Dovin's Acuity as you are already getting card draw via Winged Words . Glass Casket is a good 2-drop removal option for white.

I'm interested in non-creature permanents that you want to return to your hand. Disinformation Campaign and Dovin's Acuity come to mind. Create an enchantment or artifact that comes with its own condition for returning it to your hand.

Thanks for the advice! I don't particularly like Court Street Denizen either, so I'll probably switch her out with one of your suggestions. as far as draw goes, I do have some other options in the deck, such as Dovin's Acuity and several investigation cards. Adding in the Grand Arbiter does sound like a good idea though.

I put Brago, King Eternal in for be able to abuse the ETB of Niv-Mizzet Reborn and a bunch of other things, but I could see it being taken out with a lot of issue. Playing Melek, Izzet Paragon makes me worried about not getting much use out of him though. He would only have 10% of the deck as a target. How about Niv-Mizzet, Parun to deter opponents from wanting to cast I/S? Plus he's a strong dragon, haha!

As for the Tezzeret issue, I agree that it would be annoying not being able to fetch him from Niv-Mizzet Reborn 's ability. However, as you stated I don't have a lot of artifacts. I feel Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge would be an inappropriate Tezz for the deck. Any ideas for a different one? I automatically threw this one in because he's able to protect himself and then his ultimate is a tutor-to-the-battlefield. Can't go wrong with that lol.

As for Mechanized Production , I put it in for the flavor text. It's Dovin telling Nicol Bolas "Give me eight walkers, I'll give you the city." If you look at Dovin's Acuity , Dovin is ticking off the number of planeswalkers on their team now. Six... Plus Bolas already had Tezzeret plus now he owns Liliana via her contract. I agree, not a lot of targets. Do you think I should nix some things in order to add those extra artifacts? Then Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge might be worth it AND Mechanized Production would be a good fit.
