So I'm trying to create a new EDH deck using Selvala, Explorer Returned and would like some suggestions on cards to use.
Ideally I'm trying to make it a political style deck, that'll build mana and favor in a multi-player format and slowly lock people out from hitting me when I go to make my move. I'd like to use effects like Asceticism or Propaganda (for my colors of coarse) to lock them away from me then things like Curse of Predation or Otherworld Atlas to keep people in my favor and give them incentive to go for one another instead (again, for my colors of coarse). Then drop in some big angels like Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Archangel of Thune and Archangel of Tithes to swing high and hard.
Any suggestions?
I have the Ghostly Prison, Sigarda, Host of Herons both in the deck.
Right now Spectral Searchlight is on my list as a sideboard card, but I'll likely end up mainboarding it and taking out some of my ramp.
As for the Tempting Wurm that's perfect. Exactly the kind of card I'm looking for. Thanks a bunch!

If you like Tempting Wurm maybe Hunted Wumpus, Hunted Lammasu and Hunted Troll tickle your fancy as well? There's also Iwamori of the Open Fist for that sort of an effect.
How about Crawlspace and Ensnaring Bridge? Raking Canopy and similar effects? And Sphere of Safety goes well with Ghostly Prison.
And what about Angel's Trumpet to increase attacking?

I love Hunted Wumpus, Hunted Lammasu, Hunted Troll, and Iwamori of the Open Fist for my side board. I Plan on using a majority of the side board as card like those and Spurnmage Advocate, Forcemage Advocate, and Nullmage Advocate for Cowbooy, kingdoms, or star game modes if you know what those are. So those cards are perfect for either helping the king/sheriff or tricking him.
Crawlspace and Ghostly Prison are in there.
As for Ensnaring Bridge, Raking Canopy, and Angel's Trumpet I think I'll test it out with those in it and see how I feel.
Sphere of Safety is pretty perfect and will likely maindeck right away.

The advocates are great political cards. Don't forget Pulsemage Advocate! :)

Tempting Wurm fits the bill for Political Cards. Ghostly Prison is the white Propaganda. Sigarda, Host of Herons is pretty good for Beats, and she protects you stuff from Edict effects. Spectral Searchlight lets you give mana to players who are wanting.
