Ashling the pilgrim support theme?

Hi, I'm making a deck around Ashling the Pilgrim currently and need help deciding a direction for the 99. I'm playing a lot of mana rocks, pro red swords (and Akroma's Memorial), with the usual Repercussion package.
The problem is I can't decide where to go from there, I'm debating on making something very artifact heavy like daretti since Unwinding Clock is good here and Mycosynth Lattice can end games, myr tribal for the mana dorks or even goblin tribal for Skirk Prospector and Skirk Fire Marshal synergy. Anybody know of a really successful ashling deck please share your thoughts, thank you!
RedUndead40 that sounds similar to the route I'm taking, does he run minimal creatures alongside ashling and more voltron like? I am worried about a list like that because a Grave Pact or something like it will really hurt the deck. Relying on ashling too much just feels like it'll backfire.
So I'm wondering if a Mycosynth Lattice, Darksteel Forge type support with a Vandalblast alternate win condition might be good. Goblins also add a good secondary win condition, I'm just unsure how to proceed and which support is the best way to go.

Artifact or goblin synergies are great but are much better suited to other mono R commanders than Ashling.
The deck in my meta isnt voltron at all, just burn. He has a decent enough number of support creatures that sac effects dont destroy his board. Fire Servant is great. He has some other utility dorks like Vulshok Sorcerer. Vedalken Orrery is also great since you can decide whether to burn or pump Ashling as needed.

My friend has an Ashling deck that is mostly all direct damage and it works surprisingly well. Just lots of damage thrown around (Comet Storm, Satyr Firedancerand the like) with damage doublers like Furnace of Rath, Dictate of the Twin Gods, etc. Also Braid of Fire for ashling's ability.
Just make sure to run plenty of mana rocks / doublers and as much draw power as you can in red. Things like Reforge the Soul and similar effects work great for mono red EDH
