WHO NEEDS RARES? (20$ EXTREME BUDGET)

Standard Budget Mono-Blue

darkpotato57

Sideboard

Instant (11)

Enchantment (4)

This is an extreme budget standard deck. Less then 20 bucks. Find that in your couch or on the street, and you can buy this deck. Now, I know that standard's about to rotate, so that will of course effect this deck, but only one card is rotating. DISCLAIMER: This deck is not expected to win against top standard decks, because it is $10 homebrew. So don't play it against decks that are 30 times more expensive then it if you want to win.

Card overview:

Anticipate: This card is solid, a great way to look through your deck and select the best cards.

Contingency Plan : This is very similar to Anticipate, but looks through more cards, and gets them in your graveyard. The only downside is that they stay on top of your deck, but there is plenty of card-draw in here to just get those right away.

Horribly Awry : This is a very solid early-game counter, on the first four turns a two- mana counter.

Just the Wind : This is one of the less solid cards in the deck, but still good, and insane when you have any discard outlet, in this case reckless scholar

Take Inventory: Honestly, this card is insane. A watered- down version of Accumulated Knowledge , plus with all the card draw, you're sure get at least two every game.

Unsubstantiate:This card is a counter and a bounce. Absolutely love it.

Sphinx's Tutelage: This is the one of the two cards rotating out of standardin this deck, and this one is unfortunately our wincon as well. Because the games will go on for a while and you'll be drawing a lot. When standard rotates, there will probably be a replacement card for this

Curious Homunculus  : making all of your instants and sorceries in the deck 1 less to cast is a powerhouse in this deck, especially because almost everything cost 2 mana, so it is great. Also, make sure you don't go out of your way to get 2 out, because there's nothing in the deck that has two colorless in its cost.

Faerie Miscreant: This card is the other card rotating out of standard, and it's really not a big deal. A one- drop flier that might get a draw is good.

Reckless Scholar : This is an okay creature, getting you an outlet for your Just the Wind s and also just good for cycling through your deck.

Island: This is the best card in your deck by far. Without it, you would lose every game, and not only that, it also will never rotate out of standard. Arguably the best card ever.

The sideboard is obvious. Turn Aside for stuff that targets yours, Negate for decks with lots of noncreatures, Dispel, basically the same as negate except only for instants, and finally Encase in Ice against decks with red and green in them.

If you aren't broke like me, you can get a few copies of Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   and Thing in the Ice
