The third installment in the $50 budget modern series. This is a Rakdos discard deck that will be sure to srew with your opponent.
We're only running two creatures, Bloodhusk Ritualist and Hypnotic Specter. Specter is a solid 2/2 flyer that, if the opponent can't answer quickly, can decimate an opponent's hand. Bloodhusk is a solid 2/2 beater and later in the game, can be a massive mana sink.
We have four enchantments: Honden of Night's Reach, Quest for the Nihil Stone, Liliana's Caress, and Waste Not. The Honden is a subtle, yet reliable way to force your opponent to discard. The Quest punishes your opponent for not having cards and can clock them down if you play your cards right. Liliana's Caress is another way to punish your opponent and Waste Not pumps your field up while knocking down your opposition.
Dream Salvage is a good way to recover the cards you play and you'll often find yourself reaping more than you sow.
For out major discarders, we have: Mind Rot, Stupor, Raven's Crime, and Collective Defiance. Mind Rot and Stupor are the same card and are good two-for-ones. Raven's Crime is a quick discard and you can cast again late game. Defiance has multiple uses and you'll find yourself using the discard just as much as the burn.
card:Small Pox can get rid of big Tron creatures and get a discard point in. I've also sideboarded Pox, because why not. Burning Inquiry gives you a hand cycle while also cycling your opponent's hand.
Our side board is straight black. Bojuka Bog is good grave-hate and Languish is basically a board wipe. Almost every black deck should be running Bile Blight for its anti token usage. Mire's Toll is a cheap discard and Coercion is a budget to Inquisition of Kozilek
