So I was playing with my leviathan/kraken/sea-shit deck the other day and I saw
Dandan
, a card I threw in cause why not and I kept in cause his name was funny to say. Then I realized he's a 4/1 for 2. That's pretty crazy. So I decided to see if I could try to get him to work in a competitive format, and modern seemed to work the best. Thank you, Timeshifted!

After playing with it a bunch, I've decided to try and make it actually kind of legitimate! I played against a tournament-standard Delver deck, and won 2-1, somehow. Also won against a lower-tier Knights deck. All in all, I'm surprised it's doing so well! So I'mma try to make fish-blue-aggro a thing! We can do it, guys, let's go say hello to all the stuck up Modern players and blow them out of the water with our stupid decks that make them groan!
So the original combo was to use
Mirrorweave
to try and destroy all their creatures while turning all your attacking ones into
Dandan
. I've discovered, with playtesting, the deck mostly works well with early and quick aggro damage. Also I only own one
Mirrorweave
. So I decided to add in the Spreading Seas instead, which negates the mirrorweave, but not entirely! It still works surprisingly well. If you can't get a spreading seas, it does the job I had originally concocted up, BUT if you do, it still works fine. Attack with all your fliers, cause the deck has a bunch of em. Then turn them all into Dandan. Boom, suddenly there's a lot of extra damage coming through. I've noticed the surprisingly big winners of the deck are the Cloudfin Raptors, not bad at all for a common! Then again there is the Delver doing work over there.
If you have any suggestions, I'd gladly accept them! I'm still trying to make this great. I could splash in red and add in some early red aggro too, but as land costs money, right now I'm trying to keep it to mono-blue aggro.
