I think you should play some more low drop illusions, especially ones that curve into Lord of the Unreal. Also, more card draw and tribal payoffs. Examples include Fathom Seer for card draw, Metallic Mimic as another lord, AEther Figment as another low drop evasion illusion, Gossamer Phantasm, and maybe Phantasmal Image for a lord clone. For more card draw I might suggest something like Of One Mind? But you don't really have enough humans to trigger it often enough I think. A more consistent option would be Serum Visions.

Thank you for the suggestions, ellie-is! I will definitely take those into consideration. I do love Gossamer Phantasm (it just looks so cool!) but you are right, it's certainly not the best.

When you had your deck, did you have any card draw? For most matches, it seems like focusing on speed is the way to go but I'm thinking Reconnaissance Mission might be a good way to draw back into the game if the matches are extended.

I used to play a very similar deck and it was one of my favorites! I definitely recommend Echoing Truth (it's so much fun to use it against a token deck).

Phantom Warrior and Gossamer Phantasm aren't the strongest cards ever (despite the latter's gorgeous art), so if you need to remove cards to add new ones, they're where I'd start.

While I can't remember if there are any relevant blue or colorless ones off the top of my head, when building a tribal deck it's always worth looking at changelings, too, since they count as illusions and can have some fun effects.

Finally... If you can afford it, Adaptive Automaton is pretty great (and way cheaper than it used to be), and same goes for adding a fourth Phantasmal Image (who on the other hand is a lot more expensive now, haha).

There is also the option of Smuggler's Copter in the Gossamer Phantasm slot now that I think of it. It's pretty good even in Modern

Gossamer Phantasm seems a bit weak to me. How about adding 4 Serum Visions instead to get to your more powerful cards? Also helps your curve a bit.

You should also have some emergency removal on board, how about taking out 1 Muddle the Mixture and a Vapor Snag for 2 Dismember?

Thanks! Phyrexian Metamorph is a bit expensive for me right now, but I might consider adding a couple of them eventually, if they never print any better illusions, haha. It's even better when you're running both that and Grand Architect - in fact a lot of Illusion decks do, and some even run Wurmcoil Engine - but I decided I wanted mine to stay pure-Illusions.

Gossamer Phantasm and Illusionary Servant are definitely the weakest creatures in the deck right now (a shame - I love the art on Phantasm so much!), and would be the first ones to go if I did add the Metamorph or another new, stronger creature.

Ok, I used to run almost this exact same deck in standard, back in my Grand Architect days... My suggestions if you can swing it would be to trade out two Gossamer Phantasm's and two Illusionary Servant for 4x Phyrexian Metamorph which can copy your Lord of the Unreal and give your opponent fits. I loved this deck when I played it, and yeah, Phantasmal Dragon is a total beating. Love it.
