Sideboard


This is a budget standard deck ($20-25) that looks to frustrate the opponent by making plays difficult, leading to a snowball effect on the eventual win condition of Enigma Drake.

Shock, Lightning Strike, Thriving Turtle, and Rigging Runner work to reign in the early game, keeping early creature threats at bay or dealing a little damage to face. Take into Custody, Revolutionary Rebuff, and Negate slow the game to a crawl for the opponent. After this stage, the more powerful counter spells/controlly cards come into effect.

At some point in the game, we will see an Enigma Drake. Since the entire game has been spent preventing the opponent from doing what they want, we've built up a nice set of instant/sorceries in the graveyard (5+). Depending on how much damage was done to face early game, games end quickly from here.
