Back in 1997, I was born. But that same year pro magic player Sven Geertsen took his mono green deck, known lovingly as SEOR STOMPY, the world championship. My father, the one who taught me how to play magic, had a special edition printing of the deck, and ever since then I have been trying to make a deck that mimicked how the old stompy worked.

Back in the day, the old stompy tried to limit the resources of everyone at the table by playing Winter Orb , and the combos in the deck were meant to navigate around the handicap with things like Quiron Ranger and Rogue Elephant +Harvest Worm.

The idea is similar in this deck. You use the borderposts as your main mana generation, allowing you to sacrifice your lands to the damage dealers you have: Scythe Tiger, Ruinous Minotaur , and Cosmic Larva. Meanwhile, Stoic Builder s and Tilling Treefolk s help you mitigate the downside of these cards. Plus some added goodies to help keep up the beatdown.
