Combination of the past few decks I've been making focusing on the new Extort mechanic.

After testing different ways Extort works (Mono-Black, getting out as many extort cards as possible, low cost Extort triggers, etc.) I think I've finally found where it should stand. A good Extort deck requires needed draw power, control options, a set amount of Extort cards, and a few low cost triggers.

Thrull Parasite and Basilica Screecher are your go to Extort cards, providing a low cost drop that sets the foundation of the deck.

Extort relies heavily on the casting of spells, for this reason it's very important to rarely ever miss an Extort trigger on a turn. Having your empty-hand draw to turn out to be a land can be devastating. For this reason Underworld Connections is used for much needed card draws, and also fits into the Orzhov theme.

Life loss from card draws is mitigated through Extort as well as Lifelink from Vampire Nighthawk. Rhox Faithmender makes a huge impact on life gain, allowing you to reach obscene amounts with Extort that push away damage like it was nothing.

Crypt Ghast plays an integral role to the deck. With Underworld Connections taking up mana it's very important to be able to make the most of the rest you have open. With Crypt Ghast mana will rarely be a problem, allowing you to play multiple spells with multiple Extort payments each turn. In addition it also provides you with another Extort outlet.

One thing Orzhov Extort lacks, just by definition of the deck, is large creatures. For this reason defensive-control type creatures must be used. High Priest of Penance essentially has an improved version of Deathtouch, allowing you to destroy any non-land permanent should your opponent foolishly attack. Vampire Nighthawk will also mostly go on the defensive side, protecting the skies while also giving you life. Finally Orzhov Charm is used to get rid of the opponents' large and utility creatures, as well as a way of protecting enchanted creatures.

Ethereal Armor is an unsung hero of the RTR block. It allows Vampire Nighthawk to beat out every other non-First Strike creature for only one White mana (perfect for Extorting). It also adds up if multiple are on the field at the same time.

Stab Wound is used to cripple larger creatures and to deal passive damage, also it helps buff Ethereal Armor.

Finally there is Obzedat, Ghost Council. There's not much to say about this card that hasn't been said everywhere else. It's Geralf's Messenger on steroids. Two damage and two life every turn, on a 5/5 body, with removal evasion, for only 5 mana? Sold.
