The idea of the deck is to keep your opponents hands as full as possible by bouncing their spells and creatures back to their hand and then taking advantage of Jace's Archivist by refilling with a windfall effect. It plays like a control deck with a mill combo win condition because once you plant Sphinx's Tutelage it should only take one or so windfalls to mill out their entire deck. Disrupting Shoal is perfect for protecting a crucial combo piece. we don't care about discarding because if we can protect the combo we'll refill our hands immediately, it acts functionally like a Force of Will for modern.
