I find this really funny because I just also switched my skullbriar to a Meren deck and we have like half of the same cards haha. I have found that Indulgent Tormentor is a good way to draw more cards/punish opponents. I also recommend a phyrexian obliterator, just to help against aggro decks. Looks pretty awesome though it's got me thinking about switching around a few cards in my deck!

Thanks, I like the Phyrexian Obliterator might have to try it out. I'm also thinking about putting in both Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Triskelion for both the Undying effect and the infinite combo. Just need to figure out what the replace....

You'll definitely want an Avenger of Zendikar, it produces tons of sacrifice fodder. Diabolic Intent is a very strong card in this deck. Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar are great sacrifice outlets.

Thabks for the suggestions, Ashnod's Altar looks fantastic. I already have an Avenger of Zendikar but I feel like Mycoloth really outshines him overall and the avenger has just never really worked all that well for me. As for the tutors, with Sidisi, Undead Vizier, Rune-Scarred Demon, and Buried Alive among others I already have more than I know what to search for.

Altar's Reap?

It's not bad, but I'd prefer something a little longer-standing. Used to run Erebos, God of the Dead for card advantage. I prefer either activated artifacts or enchantments for my card draw.

Overall, your deck is probably one of the best golgari decks ive seen, and i think it would be a pretty close game between mine and yours

I appreciate that. I actually haven't really been able to play it much, everyone in my playgroup has been busy as hell. We're getting together next week so we'll see how it goes.

Think about getting some proliferate for the counters perhaps a contagion engine or contagion clasp.

Thank you for the suggestion but I'm actually not too interested in building up the counters. Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest is the only concession to that style. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed will be in there more to abuse the ETB/LTB effects than anything else. I've atually been thinking about putting in Retribution of the Ancients to pull the counters off so undying will continue to trigger.

Also, the deck was previously a counter - focused Skullbriar, the Walking Grave deck, so I'm trying to kinda get away from that theme.
