Removing Cards and Changes —April 25, 2013
Removed:
Omniscience - Too big of a drop.
Thought Reflection - Too big of a drop, Not as useful as I had anticipated.
Increasing Vengeance - Only copies my spells.
Wild Ricochet - Cool card, but ultimately too circumstantial.
Cast Through Time - Doesn't really work well with Melek.
Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius - Not as good as the better Niv.
Epic Experiment - Found myself burning through X cards and high drop spells. Not as useful as I had anticipated.
Cryptic Annelid - Needed to drop more creatures. The scry works well, but after that he's just a blocker.
Added:
Library of Leng - will help me get what I need onto the top of my deck. Also works really well with Nivix Guildmage Mercurial Chemister Desolate Lighthouse.
Trinket Mage - Can pull artifact that I need. Sensei's Divining Top is bread and butter in this deck.
Yeah, I thought so too. I need more damage spells and over all good spells to double with Melek though.

Needs Time Stretch and why no Comet Storm ?
maybe Sphinx-Bone Wand , Recurring Insight , Djinn Illuminatus and Isochron Scepter

Ohhh man, I forgot about Time Stretch , and Comet Storm would mesh with the deck perfectly! I may try out Sphinx-Bone Wand but I feel like its too heavy of a drop. Both Djinn Illuminatus and Isochron Scepter I've been torn about. The Djinn is great, but I don't know how well it will flow with Melek. Isochron is an amazing card, But I only have 7 two or less Instants that It could work with. I fear it will become a dead card. Thanks for the great suggestions!

You might want to consider adding Curiosity to the deck for the autokill and draw combo potential with Niv-Mizzt, the Firemind.

comatoseeffect - You make a valid point about Curiosity . However, It might be a dead card. I don't know if it will work well with the small amount of creatures I have. Good suggestion though. Added to maybe board.
Blakkhand - Also valid point. The cool thing about Djinn of Wishes is that it's still actually cast from the deck, so it will trigger Melek's ability. Good call. He's going in.
