Creature (8)

Would you like to spend 3 mana to cast a 6/4 creature, immediately deal 5 burn damage and gain 3 life? This deck can do that! How about 2 mana for a 6/6 flyer that tutors you 7 cards? This deck can do that too! Ever wanted to deal 20 damage to yourself on turn 1? This deck can, uhh, this deck can also do that too. Welcome to Eldrazi in Exile.

This deck is centered around two key ideas: casting powerful midrange creatures for cheap or free, and abusing self-exile as a janky way of tutoring cards. The most important card we have is the Semblance Anvil , which combines both mechanics and allows this deck to function. If you don't play this card on turn 3, you will probably lose. Serum Powder and Spoils of the Vault both increase your chances of drawing the Anvil, the former as a free mulligan and the latter as a high-risk tutor. Once you get the anvil down you want to swarm the board with creatures- casting Myr Superion for free is bonkers, and ideally by turn 4 you'll have a few Eternal Scourge or Torrent Elemental you can pull from exile as well. The deck's two finishers are the Abundant Maw + Perilous Myr combo, using the Emerge mechanic to proc the anvil twice, and the Inverter of Truth , a stylish card that will tutor all your remaining cast-from-exile creatures at the risk of prematurely ending the game.

Why you should play this deck:

-It has a reasonably high skill cap, involving a fair bit of decision making.

-It's an uncommon strategy that some players might not be prepared for or know how to deal with.

-It's extremely cheap. The artifacts are ~$3, everything else is ~$1 or less. The three cards in my maybeboard are there for someone who wants to spend a bit more.

-Playing Spoils for an Anvil can sometimes kill you turn 1, which is funny.

Any and all feedback welcome- this is the first real deck I've made and have only played it in-house, so any card recommendations, matchup advice, or general suggestions would be appreciated.
