Hi there. I have been meaning to get into Modern Competitive with an original deck (of sorts), and I landed on this nice combo. Festering Newt, Bubbling Cauldron, and Athreos, God of Passage has a potential 7 damage per turn, with plenty of removal to keep these cards on the field. Shriekmaw offers a doom blade like effect that triggers Athreos, while Zulaport Cutthroat keeps me gaining life everytime Newt or Maw triggers.
