Creatures Show

In order of importance,

• Ardent Recruit : The easiest choice, doesn't even need to be equipped to be powerful. The metalcraft basically makes him for a 3/3.

• Kor Duelist: Another easy choice, getting double strike on any mana creature is great, with him being at least a 2/1 double strike by turn two, an incredible force.

• Auriok Glaivemaster : not quite as good as the duelist, but it does get one extra power and first strike being equipped, usually meaning it can be a 3/2 for with first strike.

• Stone Haven Outfitter: One of the only 2 drops for the deck, it is important nonetheless. It is the only semblance of a lord for our equipped creatures, allowing us to go wide. Other than that, getting more cards drawn whenever we lose a creature is pretty huge.

• Puresteel Paladin: The only 2 drop that could possibly be in every equipment deck. It is one of the best cards in the deck on its own, providing more card advantage, making even a bone saw draw cards, and the second ability is really icing on the cake helping us cheat on mana and cards. Easily a payoff card, if you want to spend more money on the deck go up a few.

• Kitesail Apprentice : Being a possible 2/2 flier is amazing, and it helps push in extra damage. Not really the driving force behind the deck, however, and it could probably be cut for maybe a different flier. These effects, however, are the exact thing we're looking for in this deck.

• Isamaru, Hound of Konda : Really just a value choice, it really could be replaced for something a bit more useful towards the deck. It is great when you need a bit more value and you're running low on equipment, making it quite great.

• Court Homonculus: The only real reason to run this over Isamaru is the extra artifact towards metalcraft and the no legendary rule. Besides that, it's just value and is decent without a whole lot of equipment.

• Glint Hawk : Again, really just for the value. Only really useful with a Bone Saw or Shuko , though, since it is a bit hard to find another opportunity to spend another 2 mana sometimes. Beyond that, good synergies with the homonculus.

• Steppe Lynx : Finally, this bad boy is, once again, here for the value. I could see switching it around with some amount of the other value creatures, but this one has a few synergies with the Explorer's Scope if you don't mind rolling the dice.

Equipment Show

Again, in order of importance,

Bone Saw This is one of the most underappreciated equipments in all of mtg. The purpose of this card is to be a free play, and that makes it much easier to equip on the fly. Other than that, it synergizes very nicely with many cards in the deck, being free really has its perks.

Bonesplitter: This is basically Bone Saw x2. More power, twice the mana for playing and equipping, just that after it's on the field it is generally better than Bone Saw. Mostly here for the easy extra power.

Infiltration Lens : This is where equipment generally goes a different way than most weenie decks. Being able to generate such a large amount of fast card advantage is huge, and it means that usually you will be very consistently able to kill fast with lots of pushing power. This card is strictly for the advantage, however it makes some fun mind games when your opponent is about to die.

Mask of Memory: This is another great equipment, with extra card advantage it really keeps the pressure on. This also makes them use blocks they wouldn't usually, and with useful double strike, this card really shines. A generally aggresive card.

Shuko : I mentioned earlier that Shuko and Bone Saw are kind of the same card, just that one gets out earlier. The huge selling point of Shuko is the free equip. Being able to flip flop a card around like that is brilliant, and it makes for lots of pressuring situations. In another build more would certainly be warranted.

Explorer's Scope: This card is simple card advantage and simple ramp. What more could be necessary?

Trusty Machete : This is another undersold equipment. Honestly, I think people overlook it because of the "overpriced" equip cost. However, quite a few times is nothing for this deck to pay. Usually it doesn't come down and equip in one turn, however the huge amount of power and one extra toughness is really sweet. I don't think people really understand how big +2/+1 is.

Lands Show

Usually decks don't talk about their lands, but this deck has a really freaking weird mana base I wanted to talk about.

Plains: If colors had potency warnings, this one would be the highest. As soon as that first plains drops, your opponent knows they're in for a fast and hard game.

New Benalia : Running a scry land in a deck such as this one might seem weird, but as I said before, the main quirk of equip-weenies is that the card advantage is much higher than most weenie decks. This is mostly for those times you're getting swamped to make sure you're not finished.

Sandstone Bridge : Okay, maybe this is more of a personal choice. I like this card more than I should, but extra power, toughness, and vigilance? Maybe I am crazy, but this thing values out once you have a few creatures.

Zoetic Cavern: The easiest land to make relevant in a normal game. Using equipment means you need a permanent man land, and not a temporary one. This works great with keeping the pressure on.

Rustic Clachan : This is a weird pick, but being the only real combat trick in the deck, it is quite literally the only thing resembling an instant in the deck. it, like most of the land choices, are best in a swamp situation.
