This budget deck plays a bunch of my favorite cheap soldier cards. Ballyrush Banneret increases speed, Fairgrounds Warden provides removal, Aerial Responder adds evasion, Rhox Pikemaster gives everyone first strike, and Captain of the Watch gives everyone vigilance. Cenn's Tactician , Veteran Armorsmith , Veteran Swordsmith , Paragon of New Dawns and Captain of the Watch all buff. Raise the Alarm , Brave the Elements , and Smite give you combat tricks.

If you've got a couple extra bucks, you can add Thraben Inspector , Thalia's Lieutenant , and Preeminent Captain . If you're not playing modern, you can add Daru Warchief .
