My take on Mono Black Aggro/Suicide Black.

Other than beating face in, idea behind the deck is to try to get out Howl from Beyond and pump up an unblocked creature for the kill. (Would prefer Hatred, but I guess I'd need to go to Legacy for that. . .)

The deck is still somewhat a work in progress. I'm looking if more card draw is needed to dig for Howl from Beyond or more removal like Defile or Doom Blade for beefy blockers. Any and all suggestions are welcomed!

Also, building a sideboard is something that is complete foreign to me, so I didn't bother.

Taking out 4 Vault Skirge for more Sign in Blood and added Victim of Night. After a few play test, more card draw for both getting creatures out and finding Howl from Beyond seemed better than pecking at the opponent. Although it doesn't get Gurmag Angler, I want to test Victim of Night to see if focusing more on removal of blockers to get our guys through is worth it.
The whole deck is different now! I honestly couldn't make the traditional aggro really work out with Howl from Beyond since one needs to choose between a fast creature heavy deck or eventually get bogged down from the Howl's X cost. That or I wasn't committed enough to force it to work.

Regardless, I've changed the focus of the deck to skew toward the idea of beefed-up unlockables. The main two being Changeling Outcast and Tormented Soul. We use enchantments like Thrull Retainer that don't only power up our 1/1s but also somewhat protect them from cards such as Electrickery and Pestilence.

I've yet to have this deck in paper, and have been exclusively testing online, but I'm liking the direction it's going in.

I've come to terms with my true intent with this deck; a simple passion project! I think I started to make this deck super competitive to the point where I was unhappy with anything less than a turn 4 or 5 wins since that's the nature of most aggro decks. Regardless, I'm satisfied with this version of the deck.

We've taken out the enchantments, with the exception of Thrull Retainer, to fit in more creatures to give more flooding the board type of strategy. With Dark Ritual and literally every creature being one mana, it's not hard to amass an army midgame.

I'll still be updating the deck in the future, and might even make it into something consistent. Until then, I'm done worrying about this and moving onto new decks!
