Suggestions are welcome, though please keep in mind that this is a semi budget deck.
Creatures:
Master of Cruelties: clear the way with a kill spell and finish off your opponent with a burn spell. Also doesn't die to
Slagstorm
.
Rakdos Keyrune
: mana accelerator into larger creatures. Also a good follow up to a
Slagstorm
.
Young Pyromancer: combos well with the spell heavy deck. Provides chump blockers or some minor aggro.
Olivia Voldaren: effective way to use excess mana when you get to the late game. Burn their small creatures and take their big ones. Her first ability will put her out of range of
Slagstorm
.
Inferno Titan: another effective way to deal with small creatures. Also can be pumped up with extra mana. Doesn't die to
Slagstorm
.
Instants:
Go for the Throat/Hero's Downfall: effective creature removal. Works well with Master of Cruelties.
Terminate: same as above, but it's in the maybeboard because I don't have any.
Lightning Bolt: just in case people forgot to do the bolt test. Helps against early creature aggro.
Magma Jet: doesn't do as much damage as Lightning Bolt, but the scry helps dig for answers and get rid of drawing mana.
Tragic Slip: can deal with indestructible creatures (combos well with the spell heavy deck), or can be used just for the regular -1/-1 part if that's all that is needed.
Sorceries:
Blightning
: I really like this card. Helps with card advantage and the extra 3 damage is nice.
Duress: this deck deals with creatures really well, not so much with noncreatures.
Read the Bones: card advantage and digging for the answers that you need.
Slagstorm
: helps deal with the large small creature armies. Can be used to do the last few points of damage if needed.
Lands:
Dragonskull Summit/
Rakdos Carnarium
: these are the most bang for your buck non basics.
