I saw this deck idea on star city games, and i've kind of been working on it for the last few days. The idea of the deck is to, either overwhelm people with the natural force of slivers, beat people quickly with a
Virulent Sliver
kill, or draw/play most of your deck with
Dormant Sliver
, and then sac it to allow you to overwhelm people in combat.
The original had a land base full of basic lands, shocks, and fetches. I changed it to a rainbow landbase for a few reasons, it's cheaper, and i think it may be more efficient in the long run. It is weak to Blood Moon thought, but I don't think that is that much of an issue. Just this last day I cut the land count down to 16. That is making me uncomfortable, but the deck only needs 2-4 lands to run, and so far I've been able to draw 3 each game.
I also added two non sliver spells the original build did not have. Intruder Alarm and Serum Visions. Intruder Alarm allows me to combo off easily with a mana sliver and
Dormant Sliver
. But it has the draw back of leaving all my slivers tapped after combat or after drawing into a bunch of lands. Serum Visions is in to help throw my lands to the bottom during a combo, as well as even out my draws during the non combo part of the game.
Some Questions about the Deck:
Should I add legendary slivers? Like Sliver Hivelord or
Sliver Legion
?
Is Intruder Alarm worth the risk? Would
Sentinel Sliver
help make it less risky? If so what do you recommend taking out?
Is
Diffusion Sliver
better than Frenetic Sliver?
