Worldfire 6RRRMyth.
SorceryExile all permanents. Exile all cards from all hands and all graveyards. Each player's life total becomes 1.
This was spoiled very recently for M13. I had to post about it. It's hilarious in my opinion. So it exiles all permanents and all cards from hands and graveyards then puts each player's life total to 1. It's such a different and weird card that I want to use it for no other reason then to get the chance to say that I used it in a game. By the time you play this it'll be late in the game and one person will probably have the distinct advantage and then suddenly the game is reduced to sudden death. Can you imagine playing this in a 5 person EDH game? I'm sure that many people will hate this card and as they probably should since after it resolves it is essentially luck of the draw. I nonetheless find it an amusing card that my inner timmy wants to figure out how to use.

Try it in a causal deck with Greater Gargadon

yea my first thought went to ponder of course. And of course the ever useful Brainstorm . Both of those could easily give the game.

Lol, i was about to mention Gut Shot but then it dawned on me xD. So instead, Koth of the Hammer 's emblem.

Or it'd be funny if u cast a burn spell at opponent, then somehow flash in worldfire on top of it.

yea you'd still need the mountain lol.
I mean if you think about it, this card essentially restarts the game except now you're playing an old fashioned game of war where you might as well just flip up cards until someone can deal one damage. It's a very powerful card in what it does... unfortunately it costs a lot and may be too powerful for its own good.
Gut shot of course would be great and the two will stay in standard together for a couple months at least. Not that this card will see play in standard.

Run in big red with Koth and red mana accel. Tap for floating, Koth's -2, cast Worldfire, cast burn.

Burn goes on the stack first, worldfire resolves after the burn spell and the player's life total is at 1 regardless of the burn spell. Worldfire resolves exiling koth and all of your mountains and all your cards in your hand and graveyard. Somehow you have to get worldfire on the stack above the burn spell. One possible scenario is:
Your opponent plays a increasing devotion. You cast gutshot in response and then cast Counterlash coutering the Increasing Devotion . You may now cast a sorcery spell without paying its mana cost and at instant speed. So cast worldfire it is now on the stack above your gutshot. Worldfire resolves then your gutshot resolves gg. Fun yes. Practical no.

You seem to be forgetting that you can always just use card:Sensei's Divining Top until you got your cards set up right with this in hand. (Junk card in top then land and burn or more land then use top (if you still need/want the top) and cast) Or just keep putting it 3rd until you get what you need with it.

Guys the way to win instantly with this one is pretty obvious!
Oblivion Ring + Kessig Malcontents (instant game over) and/or dudes with haste (pretty much instant game over)

Its just such an interesting card. I mean what it does is incredibly powerful. Just the usefulness of it seems suspect. I like the idea of Oring with it though. And being standard oriented myself sensei's divining top never crossed my mind.

You said this card won't see play in standard? Do you even know who I am or what I do? Haha. I will MAKE this card see play. I'm already brewing. Stay tuned!

It's not too hard for red to make lots of quick expendable mana either, so the 9 cost is not that daunting. Battle Hymn , Infernal Plunge , etc.

Well put metalmagic my kindred spirit lol. This is one of those cards that the timmy in me gets all giddy about and all the serious magic players just frown and say, "At least its not Time Reversal ."
ahh yes zandl. Moment of silence for Staggershock .

Alternatively you could O-Ring a Curse of the Pierced Heart , as another option along with the Malcontents and hasty creatures.

How about Near-Death Experience underneath an O-ring :)
June 13, 2012 8:25 a.m.
It could potentially be run in a big red deck. Find a way to build up 10 mana, float 1 mana, cast worldfire, then cast any of the various 1 drop burn spells with the floated mana. While the card seems fun, it's practicality is a huge question.
June 13, 2012 12:55 p.m.
Wait, just read that it exiles the cards from hand to. Carry on

Oblivion Ring or Fiend Hunter on top of Hellfire Mongrel or Lavaborn Muse wins a multiplayer game. For Standard 1 on 1 games, there's Blisterstick Shaman , or anything with haste really.

Oblivion Ring on a Magma Giant then this for trolling fun. it's not a win but it's just as satisfying when your opponent has been winning and gloating about it

i thought this upyou will need a lot of mana but it winsyou float the mana needed to pay Forked Bolt and then play world fire then fork up to 3 players and kill them all
thoughts?

hunter9000 says... #37
How would you play the Forked Bolt s after playing Worldfire ? They get exiled from your hand when Worldfire resolves.
July 3, 2012 2:23 p.m.
rckclimber777 says... #38
@Lordofinfect
It doesn't quite work. If you cast forked bolt, you won't be able to stack worldfire on top (it's a sorcery). If you cast worldfire first, then your hand is exiled and so Forked Bolt won't be in your hand.

Umm, Boros hideaway deck. Fiend Hunter or O-ring one of your own hasty guys, and wait until you've got the means to cast this. Personal favorite, though probably jank, combo I can see is using a pair of o-rings or fiend hunters to stash away a Lightning Mauler and some other creature.
