Card to play two lands

Deck Help forum

Hey guys, I'm working on my land destruction deck No lands man, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a red or blue card that would allow me to play two lands per turn. I'll keep on searching for it, but if anyone knows for a fact that it does or doesn't exist, please let me know =]

I just found Storm Cauldron , and that may work nicely for my deck, but I'm still looking!

If you're in blue you can always speed yourself up with High Tide

Green obviously has some choices with Explore and what not. Plus, other land destruction capabilities with Beast Within , Creeping Mold , and Bramblecrush . Something to consider splashing.

you can't exactly splash for Bramblecrush or Creeping Mold . Putting those in would require a complete reworking of the deck.

Mwonvuli Acid-Moss IMO is better than either of those, still hard to splash for but if you went for a mono green Liquimetal Coating artifact destruction deck it would be silly.

Thanks landgrafd for the High Tide idea. I'll consider adding it. I think one of my problems is that I've been limiting myself to a 60 card deck because of the tight ratios, but maybe I'll just add some more lands.

What's splashing? Also, I appreciate the green suggestions, but I don't think reworking the deck for green is the best idea.

There's always Exploration or Azusa, Lost but Seeking if you could splash green...

Splashing a color means adding just enough lands to run a handful of a certain color. Since you would usually have a limited number of this color's lands, cards that have 1 mana symbol of that color would be easier to play in the deck, or splash.

See: Chandra, the Firebrand vs Geosurge .

Okay, if you check out my deck, I have a great land retrieval combo, so I can definitely splash.

I'd prefer a 1 mana splash, but I could be convinced to remove two cycling lands in favor for two "splash" lands.

Exploration is an AWESOME card, but way too expensive.

Azusa, Lost but Seeking is down right insane awesome, and will work wonders in combination with Storm Cauldron . I wish it were cheaper, but no complaints next to Exploration.

Oracle of Mul Daya is cheaper($) than Azusa and almost as good, however, it also costs an extra mana to play.

Rites of Flourishing also looks pretty nice.

I'm really not an experienced enough player to know what is best for the deck, so I'll take all of the opinions I can get.

Be careful with Rites of Flourishing . Unless you have some sort of strategy based around it (like TurboFog ), it will almost always help your opponent before it helps you.

Oracle of Mul Daya doesn't restrict you to one additional mana per turn though - if you have 3-4 sitting on the top of your library, you can play all of those in one turn

What are you talking about? It does restrict you. Did you read the first line of the card? It says "You may play an additional land on each of your turns." "An" means one.

You play the lands from the top of your library, and since you can only play one additional land each turn, you can only play 2 total, no matter where they're from.

I ran into someone who said the same thing on Cockatrice yesterday. I'm flabbergasted why people think this is so.

Even though Storm Cauldron has some pretty cool combos in my deck, I should replace it with Azusa, Lost but Seeking because then I can use Crucible of Worlds + Ghost Quarter + Azusa, Lost but Seeking to mill 3 or 4 lands per turn. Or instead of Ghost Quarter, I could use Evolving Wilds to play three lands out of my library per turn.

The only Blue ways of getting more lands on the field are: Patron of the Moon , Dreamscape Artist , and Mitotic Manipulation

If you did end up adding a significant amount of green I would suggest Mwonvuli Acid-Moss and to go R/G with Liquimetal Coating and massive artifact hate. (turn their lands into artifacts and pop them. You could even use card:Conjurer's Closet or something similar to bounce Acidic Slime )

Walking atlas. Only cost 2, no splash required.
