Tergrid, pre-emptive ban changes —Dec. 21, 2021
Took out Tergrid, God of Fright Flip for Sakashima of a Thousand Faces.
Took out Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur for Angel of Glory's Rise
Took out Mindslicer for Cartel Aristocrat
Took out Havengul Lich for Buried Alive
Took out Burning-Rune Demon for Razaketh, the Foulblooded
Took out Oriq Loremage for Ghostly Pilferer
Took out Savior of Ollenbock for Animate Dead
Took out Grim Haruspex for Morbid Opportunist
With the talk going around of Tergrid being banned I figured I'd get ahead of things by making some changes. Tergrid and the discard strategy with Mindslicer and Jin-Gitaxias wasn't as synergistic as I thought it would be. Its too clunky.
Also I found another infinite loop like the Karmic Guide/ Reveillark combo that will replace the cards I'm switching out nicely. Also switching out some nice, but a little clunky, cards for cards that will enable smoother deck piloting.
Grim Haruspex is really good, but I find that I am more consistently sacrificing 1 creature a turn to get the venture triggers rather than a bunch of creatures all at once. Also Morbid Opportunist sees token deaths while poor ole Grim doesn't. I feel like trying it out for a while, and I may end up switching it back.
Its tough to find cards to cut... I'm still looking for a way to include Reanimate in here somehow.
