A fun Historic prison/ life gain deck that wins quite consistently over on Arena.

AS A PREFACE - I made this deck to be BUDGET. I would run Smothering Tithe, but it's almost 40 bucks.

A lot of the deck runs a solid Soul Warden , Speaker of the Heavens , Ajani's Pridemate and Impassioned Orator strategy, that synergizes quite well, letting you get a WHOOOOLE bunch of ETB triggers from Warden and Orator gaining you life off of Speaker making tokens once you can get up to it (I've found a steady way is getting cards like Banehound out ASAP).

Ill-Gotten Inheritance is a pet card of mine, and with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose , it definitely helps crank your opponent down, and Dogged Pursuit is just Ill-Gotten Inheritance LITE

Ajani's Pridemate is obviously a solid focal for the deck, with cards like Ill-Gotten Inheritance , Fountain of Renewal and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose netting some solid passive lifegain, and lifelinkers like Banehound getting you some life if you swing in.

There's a slight angels sub theme with cards like Angel of Vitality (which frankly plays into Vito better) and Shalai, Voice of Plenty , but mostly, it's about life gain.

Primary Combos/ Synergies ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Dogged Pursuit + Ill-Gotten Inheritance + Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose

Ajani's Pridemate + Soul Warden + Speaker of the Heavens

Ajani's Pridemate + Impassioned Orator + Speaker of the Heavens

Enjoy!
