overhaul —Feb. 6, 2017

Big overhaul, all new landbase, but probably still needs more work. A new land worth the attention is Rogue's Passage to help us still get through with decked up creatures, and Slayers' Stronghold that serves as another creature buffer, great utility lands.

An update earlier, I had Bastion Protector added thinking I can protect my sidar, but then again I rather put in something like Heroic Intervention that can protect all my board, also Sidar can't attack either when he is too strong. Also removed Concerted Effort again, it is not as good as I thought as most of our creatures will be face down and we won't really profit from it, Instead I put in Swiftfoot Boots to give our Bruse and Sidar more protection from removal. Also with haste Bruse can give two creatures lifelink and doublestrike in one turn now!.

The last time I played I noticed a lack of carddraw, so additionally to Mentor of the Meek I now added Bygone Bishop, a 1 mana worse version but still a nice engine, and Mask of Memory. We already get through reliably with creatures so it is a nice addition. Hopefully that's enough.

Also in general I lowered the amount of creatures a bit and instead try to put more power into our initial goal, hitting with a morphed, buffed and double-striked fattie. Therefore I removed Bloodstoke Howler, Sigil Blessing, Stormcrag Elemental, Jeering Instigator, Skarrg Goliath. Additions for them are Nantuko Mentor, who can basically double a creatures power, Brion Stoutarm, who can give some great faceburst when we need to kill someone or no longer get through with our fatties, Inquisitor's Flail, a cool equipment that is basically double-strike, but also works with double-strike (four-times the dmg, yes-pls), and Austere Command because we lacked mass removal and that sorcery is fitting because we can choose if we want to kill creatures by their power, so theoretically we can wipe the board while keep our morphed down weenies.

I think focusing on a few (even though they are more than half of it) morph creatures is better for the playability of the deck, and most morph creatures are not that good anyways.

Regardless, I hope the deck plays a lot better next time. I sadly still don't have Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder, because the Commander Deck is sold out, so I replaced him with Tana, the Bloodsower so far. Very suboptimal but Sidar is more the head of the deck anyways. Also I am still unsure if I have enough ramp, morphing creatures is pretty expensive especially if you want to combo, maybe adding a Selvala, Heart of the Wilds or a Selvala, Explorer Returned could help there? Also Meekstone feels like an interesting one, but could easily bite us in the ass too, I'm unsure about it. And maybe I will also add Fireshrieker just to have another double-strike source. But all in all I like a lot how the deck plays and feels and I can't wait to play it more!
