Frozzik is known to history by many names and titles across many worlds. Icelord, Winter, Lord Highon, College Archmage, Planebreaker, Ancient One, Betrayer, Last Acolyte, False God, Ice-Lich, God of Knowledge and secrets, Deathlord, Heir of Vecna. All these and more have been given to one being, an ancient mage from long lost Medais.

Hi, this is an attempt to make a casual deck based around a D&D character of mine who has managed to survive a surprising number of campaigns and experienced ridiculous events and continued in one way or another. I won't bore you trying to explain it all, but Frozzik has survived 2 plane deaths, become the undisputed lord of the Realm of Ice, risen to godhood, been cast down and shattered into lesser shades of himself and then become the literal embodiment of Winter across the multiverse, along with reclaiming his scattered shades. (To give an idea how long I've played him, he has appeared in 3.5, pathfinder, 4th and 5th edition campaigns while they were still making books for each edition.)

Thanks to some of the events he became associated with certain powers, namely:

  • Ice, snow, cold, winter
  • Necromancy and death magic
  • The Eldritch Beings of the Far Beyond

So with Kaldheim being fully spoiled and containing many snow cards I finally decided I should get around to designing the deck I said I would for around 8 years now. And Yes, the green mana is there purely to run Jorn, God of Winter   for theme reasons.

*this is themed very much to go against a specific casual deck I designed for a friend and is in serious need of an update. But due to how that character has progressed as well, I will restraining some of my choices because they will have no way to deal with things like Marit Lage's Slumber and it seems unfair to run something they can't defeat in a casual setting, (The theme is Cassi, a pyromancer and part dragon who has appeared in less adventures as far as I'm aware and hasn't branched into exile or sacrifice style magic. Fire and Dragons pretty much sum up that deck)
