Jorn, God of Winter Discussion

You probably don’t need 25 lands, especially considering how much card draw you have. Personally i’d lower the land count down to 23 and ditch Into the North .

As far as good snow cards to consider adding, consider the following:

Dimir Zombies seems to be the way to go! Duress Feed the Swarm Cling to Dust or something like Blood on the Snow are all decent sideboard inclusions for any deck running black.

Surprised not to see Murderous Rider in the list, that card is a pretty decent utility zombie! If you're leaning into the self mill thing, I've been on the painful receiving end of an early game Egon, God of Death  Flip. Also the flip side of Jorn, God of Winter  Flip is really useful with snow permeants.

For recursion, Corpse Churn and Call of the Death-Dweller are both really good ways to get back your zombies. Lurrus of the Dream-Den is another often overlooked source of recursion, though not a zombie. It does give you a more consistent grindy end game though when paired with Priest of the Haunted Edge and an early Liliana's Steward .

You could probably squeeze in a single Jorn, God of Winter  Flip for the flavor and it would still be just under 25$. Either side would work really well in this deck, obviously.

Savor the Moment : Jorn, God of Winter  Flip will untap himself so you can attack during the extra turn, letting you at least cast stuff with your basics

Worth mentioning, like as with split cards such as Breaking / Entering , the color identity is all symbols included - not just the side you "intend" to use.

So the color identity of a MDFC is that of all colored mana symbols that appear on both sides, not just the front. That is important for if you want to use a card such as Jorn, God of Winter  Flip. He is Sultai, not mono-Green.

thank you. To answer your question: I might honestly just put Fynn in the 99 of some deck that runs deathtouch creatures instead, I'm thinking Jorn, God of Winter  Flip. I actually forgot to make the fynn deck hidden. If you are looking for infect, I suggest going Simic, Golgari or even Sultai. if you go Sultai and Don't want to go Voltron, you could go for Damia, Sage of Stone . just know, if you play infect, they will try to kill you first, which is why I personally don't have one myself. Seton druid tribal is one of my favorite decks along with my The Locust God deck and Edgar Markov . Winota, Joiner of Forces can also be really busted. I love that one too. the next deck I plan to do is Lathril, Blade of the Elves , I've already bought the precon and I am gonna test it out to see what works and what doesn't and upgrade accordingly. oh and in case you were wondering, other good infect commanders are the following: Ezuri, Claw of Progress and Volrath, the Shapestealer . Ezuri can make your Blighted Agent huge and kill someone with 1 or 2 hits by putting counters on it. in that deck you run all the blue and green infect creatures, scryfall is your friend. with Volrath, you want to be playing Evasive infect creatures that you then put a counter on a turn Volrath into, so again Blighted Agent is a very good card there. same with Phyrexian Crusader and Plague Stinger . The reason I broght up Damia, Sage of Stone is that she's just a really good value commander in sultai colors, she draws you cards, the other 2 kill faster.

Modern-casual Gods support cards.

Cavern of Souls if you have money to burn

Colossal Majesty gives you some draw power, since Gods tend to have high power.

If you're including the Theros Gods, Overbeing of Myth gives you full devotion in one card, and it plays well with Kefnet the Mindful and Kruphix, God of Horizons .

Neoform might be interesting, since all the blue and green Gods are 3-5 mana.

Keruga, the Macrosage would be cute as a companion. (Make sure you check the updated rules.)

Watch out for the multicolor backs of Esika, God of the Tree  Flip and Jorn, God of Winter  Flip.

I'm having a lot of fun with the snow archetype too, but I think you vastly under-estimate how useful Jorn, God of Winter  Flip front side is, as I did at first too.

Untapping everything let's you get another permanent back with his back side, it lets you pump more mana into your Ascendant Spirit (3rd ability is repeatable), you can trigger Frost Augur again, let's cast that big Graven Lore that you weren't quite able to squeeze out otherwise... and more. It's really worth it.

I splash green just for that, and for Binding the Old Gods . It's excellent removal and it can get any forest card in the library (not only basics) straight into play. Death touch isn't the most useful, but we have lots of small dudes so it's not irrelevant.

With that said, your version seems fun too, but I would avoid using Shadows' Verdict since that would remove a lot of the things you want to bring back from the graveyard with Kaldring, the Rimestaff . Also I feel like 4 Narfi, Betrayer King is a bit overkill since in theory as soon as you get one, you can keep replaying him.

In any case, we're playing snow, and that's cool.
