I've been looking for a good Edgar deck to compare mine against and yours is amazing. Can you go into a bit more detail into your strategy?

Hi toastySmorc I tried to work with vamps of CMC 3 or less, to activate his passive more than once a turn. It also benefits from bishop of rebirth. I'm still testing it, maybe I'll run 32 vamps.

Main strategy is swarm aggro. You need a lot of vamps to trigger old Edgar, otherwise anthem effects will be pointless. You're pretty vulnerable to board wipes, but with low CMC vampires you can recover very quickly.

About your deck it is very good, but IMO you need more vamps, in a 99 cards deck you'll not be triggering Edgar a lot with your 21 sources.

I'd cut: Solemn Simulacrum, Enlightened Tutor, Call the Bloodline, Outpost Siege, Dark Petition, Coat of Arms and Animation Module.

Cool thanks. Animation Module is part of a combo that is meant to win very unfavouredgames so I want to keep that XD.Why CoA though?

Hi toastySmorc. I thought CoA good until C17 release. With all this tribal stuff you may start pumping other vamps decks too. You could try Door of Destinies or Vanquisher's Banner instead. I'd be glad if you could gimme your upvote. Thanks

Already upvoted haha. Yeah that's a good point, but my playgroup has only one tribal deck so Im pretty chill.

Fumigate for Wrath? You will likely have the most creatures on the table when you Wrath so you might as well get some benefit to blowing the board up.

I recommend getting City of Brass and Mana Confluence in there for the colour-fixing: who cares about one damage when you have 40 life to start?

I'm surprised Bloodline Keeper  Flip isn't in there! If you're aiming to flood the board with vampires, it's hard to say no to +2/+2 for everyone. He should be easy to flip when all of your vampires come with a bonus sidecar. You might also have luck with Crackling Doom, depending on how often you play multiplayer.

Have you considered Necropotence? with all the life you can win it's a card that give you options to cast.

Hey nice list! How has it been when tested?

Hi Neonar as any Aggro deck it suffers from boardwipes, but I can reassemble the board pretty quickly with low CMC vamps. I have a Combo/Stax deck: Brago, King Eternal that is much more competitive, but not half the fun this one provides me. It can deliver massive amount of damage with some buffed up vamps. The powerhouse of the deck are certainly Anointed Procession and Bloodline Keeper.

Whip of Erebos is a great addition to any vampire deck

I'm running nearly the same deck build, although I have a slightly steeper mana curve. Would love to compare the two. Here is a link:

Counter Dracula - Vampire Pure-Blooded Tribal Deck

The deck is based on pure-blooded vampires, tokens, counters, and life-gain.

I will not run the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond infinite combo; only one of the two cards. In this build, I've decided to run Exquisite Blood.

Hi,

as you're going wide with this deck, have you considered to add Carnival of Souls? It can cause some really explosive starts. The life loss may be bearable cause you already have some lifegain in your deck.

This looks pretty good! I'm also going at the Hyper Markov strategy. Would you rather have the tutors or more vampires? Would you consider mass creature return to the board with Victimize, Patriarch's Bidding, or Living Death? Do you prefer mana ramp or more low cmc vampires? Looks like we've got different styles but could learn from each other; let me know how it goes with your deck!

I like your take on Edgar Markov aekrusty. Rootborn Defenses stands out as a good defensive play and Westvale Abbey  Flip is stong too! I'm curious what you think about going all in on creatures and card draw. I play a Hyper Markov deck in casual, free-for-all Commander games and it has 50 creatures. Would you share your advice about the ideal number of creatures in your Edgar Markov deck?

Hey aekrusty very nice deck ! im upgrading my vamp deck and lands are my next focus, thinking about going the same way like yours, trying to ditch most of the 'tapped' lands that come into play to speed up my tempo. Is your manabase pretty solid with this setup ? The testplay seems nice . Linking my deck below if u want to check it out, that would be appreciated :) Greetings,
