Modern Elves Mono-Green Ramp

Zecumo

Sideboard

Artifact (3)

This is my competitive modern deck I play at my LGS. The main synergies are as follows:

Elvish Archdruid + Umbral Mantle

For infinite mana. For Shenanigans.

Helix Pinnacle + The deck.

It's a ramp deck, so if all else fails a helix pinnacle may save me. In my experience though, it's really just a Win more card in the deck.

The deck mainly wins by combat damage. Get out a bunch of tokens, and beef them up, for lethal. Back up includes Helix Pinnacle.

At my LGS we had a modern tournament. 3 rounds, as there were eight people. Partially due to Fetches being legal next week.

I went 3-0 in the pilot run of this deck.

First round - B/W Midrange 2-0

So people really don't like me holding onto a Elvish Archdruid. That was a theme for the whole night. Turn one thoughsiezed. On my turn one I through down a Elvish Mystic and then turn two, drew another archdruid, played Heritage Druid and another mystic. Tapped all my elves for 3x G and played The Archdruid. Next turn I played an Umbral Mantle and a Helix pinnacle. Game. Game two went similar, cept I got a lot of tokens on the field, I think about 20 and beefed them up to 6/6s. He got mana screwed so bad and didn't play any lands.

Round Two - B/G Tarmogoyf 2-1

First game he went down to 10 with Dark Confidant and it wasn't long before I out powered his Tarmagoyf. Second game he went down to somewhere around 15, and while I was setting up he bile blighted my guys then started eatting my creatures with Scavenging Ooze. I thought I could hold out as I had Nissa gain me 40 extra life, but it only saved me two more turns, where I only drew lands. Game three went a little more like the second, but I was able to recover and flood the board with 20 5/5 tokens.

Round Three - B/R Delver Tempo 2-1

These games took forever. He would counter my spells, bounce my creatures, and bolt my guys, making it hard for me to set up. The first game I was sitting on 3 lands for ten or so turns before my fourth land drop, which allowed me to play more cards than he could draw bounce spells in a turn. By then I got momentum and blew him away. The second game went similarly, except he got his Delver of Secrets  Flip out early and kept on countering my spells, allowing it to transform and swing every turn. Game three, he didn't play any lands at all. He had Delvers and counterspells in hand the whole game. I did get the Elvish Archdruid + Umbral Mantle combo off, and ended up using Garruk, Primal Hunter's -3 for 32 cards, on turn 4 or 5, at which time he scooped.

So all in all, I think my deck works in a competitive format, at least with the meta I have. I seem to have many threats which are hard to respond to. Like the first game, When I was turn one Thoughtsieze'd I think the opponent undervalued the Heritage Druid, and the Joraga Warcaller in my hand. I feel like I never have to sideboard for my meta, and if I did it might slow me down actually. I do think that creature removal holds me back, but no one really played much of that.
