I think maybe hammer of purphoros could be a fit if you were maybe willing to take out a thoughtseize and a launch the fleet to make your creatures have haste and create more tokens for butcher of the horde.

I already got Crackling Doom in the side Balbaar, I don't think I need 11 instances of removal. And Utter End is really slow when I already got the necessary answers for everything.

I like Obelisk of Urd , DaigarStrasis. I will try it out. As for the aggro, Red aggro has all their cards in RTR, so it is practically defunct now. And there hardly anything in black that can make mono black aggro go any further. I'm looking at the entire KTK set, and there is like, nothing in mono colours that can make aggro worthwhile. I can however make this mardu deck aggro based, which is what I'm doing as a side test with midrange build sideboard.

Hammer of Purphoros is really lack-luster TheWhiteFang. A three mana haste grant isn't that good especially considering how easy it is to remove. It also doesn't apply to most of my tokens, as they enter the battlefield attacking, or with haste.

I really don't think Launch the Fleet works here. It's a good and undervalued card, but in this case, I think 3x Foundry Street Denizen just does so much more work. The synergy with Mardu Ascendancy and Goblin Rabblemaster is crazy good. And he's also another warrior.

How about some Spear of Heliod ?

I really liked this. Its fast and aggressive and gets out of control Waaaaay to quickly to deal with. The only card i found not working out for me was the Raiders' Spoils , but to be honest i was finishing games with this before i really had a chance to see it shine. I would probably go with another Thoughtseize and another Launch the Fleet as those two cards were just brutal in the matches i played with this. I guess i could see where the seize i might be dead in hand at some point in a game where the spoils would still be usable. Just throwing some things out there..Maybe Mardu Skullhunter or War-Name Aspirant could find a home in here

Have you considered Legion Loyalist ?

He brings a bit of an aggro buff to your deck, and synergizes well with your Gobbos.

Launch the Fleet is a superb card TheGreatLiar. Directing damage to the opponents face with Purphoros, God of the Forge , using my own tokens to get tokens, having the warrior tokens get buffed by Launch the Fleet ... there is just so much it can do! It will go in, but at the expense of something else that doesn't need to be here. I've got an idea, just need to write the description for it.

Tempting APPLE01DOJ, but the double white is really putting me off, and I'm liking Obelisk of Urd in playtesting. Will probably follow Quadsimotto's advice and remove Raiders' Spoils , and replace it with Obelisk of Urd .

And finally, thanks Ohthenoises! Two more upvotes for me~

On 2nd thought TheGreatLiar, I miscounted my cards, and I realized that due to the lack of red mana in this deck, getting that out on turn one followed by a turn two Chief isn't really going to happen.

What does everyone think about this potential build? Basically I replaced the really weak sideboard with my midrange cards and inserted a creature based aggro. It addresses many of the concerns people have on here. The complete game change will really through people off. No you can't hover over the cards.

I think its odd to see sightless brawler in a build but i like that its there. A great beater for 2CMC.o. I like it but then again the ordinal build here has a nice aggro feel to it too. This looks like it would be swifter at smashing face.

I like this build because of the sideboard Quadsimotto, it means you now have both decks. I choose this mainly because of the very limited sideboard applications that this standard season seems to have, and in particular with this deck. I mean, just look at the current sideboard. Brave the Sands , Crater's Claws and Mardu Hateblade ? These are all incredibly limited cards in application, and nothing that the altered form can't answer. I'm just trying to find out if there is anything that went under my radar.

Calling on slovakattack, VampireArmy, Ohthenoises, GoldGhost012, Blizzicane and Spootyone to see what they think of the altered deck form in post #63.

I may have to borrow that for my fnms (I'm so lazy when it comes to standard lol)

Seriously though, it's really solid though i'm sure the sideboard will adjust as the meta becomes more stable

It looks pretty good, the only changes I might make would be to +1 Bloodsoaked Champion and War-Name Aspirant and remove a copy of Mardu Hateblade (I don't think activated deathtouch is as good as recursion) and Sightless Brawler (War-Name being unable to be chumped is rather excellent, but I definitely can understand why taking out a Brawler may be a stretch).

I like it! Sightless Brawler kinda weirds me out, but it otherwise looks pretty good.

I think Tormented Hero is better than both Sightless Brawler and Mardu Hateblade .

Another card I'd look into is Tymaret, the Murder King .

Maybe -3 Mardu Hateblade -3 Sightless Brawler for +4 Tormented Hero +2 Tymaret, the Murder King ?

Also if you wanted to check my Mardu list which is working along similar lines that be much appreciated.

That is what I'll during the RDW/aggro heavy initial status of standard, GoldGhost012. I'll also be adding 2x Rush of Battle and 2x Sorin, Solemn Visitor for the side in replace of Crackling Doom and Tormod's Crypt . If I can get the sorin that is. If not then it is just Rush of Battle . Bloodsoaked Champion becomes too much of a hindrance at 4, and that is mainly the reason of the reanimation. Because it reanimates, I don't need more than 1 out.

I really like Sightless Brawler , slovakattack. I always have a creature on my side of the field, so a 3/2 creature with such a cheap cost is really easy to play. The bestow is awesome to, particularly on Butcher of the Horde , not only because of its lifelink, but because butcher is a prime removal target, which lets my Bestow creature get onto the battlefield.

I've got nothing that targets Tormented Hero , RedSoxFanKy, so it is crunk. Tymaret, the Murder King got used once, but being conflicted with the 8 cards I have, and its abilities never got used. Why would I want to spend 2 for 2 damage when I can play another creature that can do a net damage of 3-8?

Is Sorin, Solemn Visitor too slow here? I am still iffy on his power level, I'd like to see him find a home but I'm not quite sure where. His +1 has the potential to be very helpful, and the effect lasting until your next turn is nice. I see in your description you are considering it, and I'd recommend it I think. It could be exactly what is needed against aggro. As far as what to remove for it, I'd say Tormod's Crypt is a safe bet. I don't see delve being a powerful enough strategy in it's current state to be tier one in the meta about to be formed.

I think your forgetting the number one draw to Tormented Hero , it's a warrior!

8 2 power one drop warriors feels pretty strong!

I think that makes Tormented Hero is almost strictly better than Mardu Hateblade

Cut the Hateblade and run full playsets of Bloodsoaked Champion and War-Name Aspirant instead.
