Nice deck. I've been running something similar, but without the Goblin Chieftain s (since I didn't own any) until I saw this. Never even considered the possibility of the turn 3 hit for 9. Ouch... +1 for sure, and I'm totally picking up a playset of Chieftain now.

What a lot of people forget is that the chieftain gives all goblins haste so turn 4 if you don't play a Hellrider you can play (and this actually happened last night) another Goblin Wardriver and 2 1 drop goblins and immediately swing for 24.

Hellrider is good, but only after Hero of Oxid Ridge goes out of standard. I have been playing goblithat Brimstone Volley should be swapped for Incinerate . It's way more reliable and easy to copy. Urabrask the Hidden probably won't help much at all, because all your stuff will have haste from the Goblin Chieftain . you can put some Copperline Gorge and Ancient Grudge on the sideboard against artifact decks. maybe you'll want to swap 1 or 2 Goblin Wardriver for Stormblood Berserker , because it's way better on turn 2 and you'll always have the bloodthirst. I know that you may feel otherwise, but Shrine of Burning Rage is an incredible card. You're probably getting a different late game idea, but with so much red you'll be glad when you have another win con.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree on almost all accounts.
late game I kill with reverb + grenade or grenade + brimstone. Urabrask does in fact help as last night v.s. esper control someone tried to flash in snapcaster to block him for game not realizing that snappy comes in tapped. Wardriver v.s. stormblood wardriver is better because he pumps my spikeshots. swung for 9 on turn 5 with chieftain + wardriver + elder, guy blocked with grave titan thinking he was ok pinged it for 3 then let damage go. That play lost him the game. Hero dies to shock and hellriders "battlecry" is far superior that is all. volley will only be subbed out if grenade goes too because its 10 dmg for 4 mana. thanks for your thoughts but this brutal as is.

WOW! i saw how cheap it was to make this deck while still meeting the requirements for being standard and so i made this deck, i couldn't thank you enough for posting this! I love it! and my friends hate playing me with this deck! I couldn't credit you enough!

I LOVE how consistent this deck is and how it ALWAYS has that turn 3 9 damage swing

Something that might make for a fun sideboard is some Shrine of Burning Rage and switching out your bigger creatures for a few cheap burn spells. I've been finding that most people board to deal with the creatures after game 1, and being able to switch strategies is often pretty effective.
I can see your reason for not having Shrine maindeck, but think about giving yourself to option to switch to it in response to the creature hate showing up game 2 and 3.

what about in games with heavy creature hate replacing Urabrask the Hidden with Curse of Bloodletting and Goblin Wardriver s with Incinerate and Shrine of Burning Rage in there somewhere? I ask because the hardest match up for me was a guy who was running 2x Curse of Death's Hold and it shut me down so badly that I need an answer for him.

If you're gonna board in a curse, go for Curse of Stalked Prey instead. That'll solve your Curse of Death's Hold problem, as well as laying down some serious damage. It's also way cheaper to cast than Curse of Bloodletting . I would probably board out the higher CMC creatures for burn spells, personally.
Something like:
-1 Urabrask, -3 Hellrider, -4 Chieftain, -2 Wardriver
+3 Shrine, +2 Curse, +3/2 Incinerate, +2/3 Shock/Galvanic Blast/Red Sun's Zenith
That still leaves you with all your 1-drops to hit/block/pump Shrine/sac to Grenade. A 1/1 gets really threatening after a couple of turns of activating Curse of Stalked Prey. Also, it's awesome to have a 3/3 Spikeshot Elder .

Addendum: You might want to board to 4 Curse of Stalked Prey to ensure drawing one.
March 6, 2012 9:31 p.m.
seems still since you are playing chieftains but i would like to see Pyreheart Wolf . its awesome because you have little guys swinging in for a little bit, but if they cant be blocked, WOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEEE. especially since the comments i read through said thaty ou have turn 3 consistent attackers (I'll admit I have not playtested) but to make each of the attackers take two blockers away from an opponent, they will soon run out, and you will be getting damage through no matter what.
You may want to consider Corrosive Gale as sideboard, if not main board. It'll force you to take 2 damage, but to get rid of all those pesky spirits, its more than worth it in my opinion.
+1

The chieftains are in here because they not only give every pre turn 4 creature +1/+1 but haste too.
I'm not opposed to adding Corrosive Gale to a sideboard to kill off tokens.

-1 Urabrask the Hidden for 1 Curse of Bloodletting
Reason is by the time you get that out most of your Goblins should already be on the field, so the only benefit you're getting is that your opponent's creatures come in tapped. That shouldn't really matter cause by then they should be down on life, then combo it with Goblin Grenade for massive damage and the game winning kill :)

hmm you're right... 1 of or 2 of? (I could lose a grenade or volley)

I'd bomb a Reverberate for a second Curse.
Mainly cause with Increasing Vengeance , you get 1, then can flash it back and copy twice, so you don't really need 3 of the Reverberate s.

except reverb can target their spells too id rather ditch the increasing as it can only target mine

OMG! This deck is not only seem's to be retarded fast but it's one of those deck's that beat's on a exspensive deck... Plus you might want as a maybe board like 3 Memnite and 3 Kuldotha Rebirth to pump out a possible 3 1/1 Goblins on turn one, that can make great cannon fodder, and can be pumped by a turn two Curse of Stalked Prey

Thought I should add this gem. When I was running What do we want? Brains! at the last tournament here I got asked if I was running this deck, told him no, his response was "good".
Ballmode says... #1
just keep the extra Hellrider
in all the time because that gives you a better chance of getting off your turn 4 kill which is what you are trying to do. your curve for creatures rounds out at 4 in that case and Goblin Chieftain
, Hellrider
both have haste so they are coming in swinging.
and if your turn 4 is another Goblin Chieftain
that's good and if you get 2 Hellrider
and double up with it turn 5 that's a win too.
i like this deck btw +1 from me
