This deck is an artifact-based combo-ramp strategy that turns cheap artifacts into massive mana and draw advantage, ultimately casting Ulamog's Crusher ahead of curve.
You play like a value engine early, combo midgame, and crush late.
Metamorphosis – The heart of the deck. Sacrifice a creature to generate mana, then use that burst for cards like Mulldrifter or to cast Ulamog's Crusher. With artifact creatures, it becomes a ritual that converts expendable bodies into big plays.
Refurbished Familiar – The perfect sac target for Metamorphosis: gives 5 mana and can be recurred via Blood Fountain for repeat value.
Blood Fountain – Core recursion and setup engine. Retrieves two creatures (often Mulldrifter and Refurbished Familiar) and provides an artifact for affinity or improvise.
Myr Enforcer – A classic Affinity payoff; frequently costs 0–2 mana, helping rebuild the board instantly.
Frogmite – Early free body to enable Metamorphosis or pressure midgame.
Mulldrifter – One of your draw engines. Can be evoked early or hard-cast off Metamorphosis mana. A frequent recursion target from Blood Fountain.
Ulamog's Crusher – The finisher. Often comes down on turn 4–5 with Metamorphosis acceleration. Crusher quickly ends games if unanswered.
Thoughtcast – Efficient draw spell that leverages your artifact density; often just a single blue mana for two cards.
Metallic Rebuke – Cheap, improvise-powered protection that helps you keep combo pieces and big creatures safe.
Prophetic Prism – Fixes colors, draws cards, and boosts artifact count for affinity and improvise.
Chromatic Star – Smooths mana and replaces itself when sacrificed.
