Sideboard and Swaps (3/6 - 3/12) —March 6, 2017

I have added a list of cards that can be swapped in and out of the deck with the sideboard.

Ultimately, I am trying to figure out which cards included in the sideboard need to be in the main deck and if there are things in the main deck that will need to be switched with other things that I currently have set aside.

1.) Chrome Mox replaced Thran Dynamo - for ? Seems good. Plus, it's an extra boost if you pull it early game.

2.) Viscera Seer replaced Sadistic Hypnotist - Both cards are great and I would love to include both of them somehow, but for right now I took the hypnotist out for a little while just to play with the scry mechanic.

3.) Vesuvafoil, Thespian's Stage, and Expedition Map have been added.

4.) Bojuka Bog can be swapped back and forth with Lake of the Dead. I can't think of many instances where playing Bojuka Bog has made a substantial impact of the outcome of the game out of those that I have played, so having the ability to exile a graveyard isn't a dire necessity. The only thing about Bojuka Bog that can give you an edge in a really long game is the option to copy it with Thespian's Stage and Vesuvafoil. You can try swapping out another swamp if you want to keep both in the deck.

5.) I removed Decree of Pain and added Gonti, Lord of Luxury. I somewhat feel that Decree of Pain might be one of the most underused cards in the deck so I figured, at least for right now, that I could take it out. If I wanted to, I could probably substitute Decree of Pain or Toxic Deluge with Heartless Summoning and still have everything function normally. Without Heartless Summoning, I wouldn't have to worry about it bothering Viscera Seer or Triskelion in the event of me needing or wanting to use them.

Having Gonti, Lord of Luxury along with Kokusho, the Evening Star in the same deck seems to be lot of fun so far since I can freely swap them out as commanders as I please. The deck appears to work just fine with either of them at the helm. Having this option available will allow this deck to be more flexible when playing against different people/decks.

Love, suggestions, and recommendations are always welcome.

your commander needs to change bro. his ability wont take affect since the command zone and the graveyard aren't the same.

The goal is to play Kokusho, the Evening Star out of the graveyard rather than from the command zone. Technically, you should only need to cast him out of the command zone once per game.

the commander doesn't go to the graveyard. if he is exiled or killed in any way he goes to the command zone dude.

so if you want use of him you have to change the commander otherwise you're just using him to have a solid black edh

Rule 903.11. - If a commander would be put into its owner's graveyard from anywhere, that player may put it into the command zone instead.

then that completely negates the commander rule that if it would die or be exiled then it goes to the command zone and cost more. plus idk if you payed attention to black legendries but there are better ones for what you are wanting to do and very very easy ways to get your previous commander out and just use him all the time but whatever if youre gonna argue then idk why your edh was in the help tab when I was the only one who commented trying to help.

Sheoldred, Whispering One is much much better than who you have and can make use of him easier.

Commander tuck rule allows you to choose where it goes. If it would be removed from the field you have the choice to either put it in the command zone or wherever it would be sent (ex back to your hand, the graveyard, exiled, etc.)

I love how everyone is debating about what happens when Kukusho dies, but fail to realize that he isn't even a legal commander. Yep, that's right folks, he's on the EDH commander ban list.

If so then wouldn't it not say that this edh is legal?

Vesuva and Thespian's Stage to copy Cabal Coffers. Expedition Map to search for them.

With all this death and recursion Gonti, Lord of Luxury may be worth consideration.
