Great build. Reanimator is probably my favorite archetype, and this looks like a lot of fun and is budget friendly. Well done.
If budget weren’t an issue, would there be any obvious recommendation you would make to give this a slightly more competitive edge? I don’t typically play standard, so I’m not knowledgeable on the current cardpool for the format.

I think the obvious next step would be to add blue to the mana base which would require Watery Grave and Fabled Passage and use that color to bring in looting and milling effects. I’d play Tomebound Lich and Merfolk Secretkeeper or cards with similar effects. Thats where I’d start. I didn't build it originally with intentions of it being budget, but thats just where it is. The cards are cheap but quite powerful and effective at synergizing with each other. It just needs more graveyard speed to increase overall consistency and produce a 5/5 flying demon as early as turn 2.

Ah, I think you’re a few rungs higher on the proficiency ladder than I am. I recently got back into the game after about 20yrs, and I think adding all those possibilities in would confuse me too much. At this point I’ll just focus on this build and graveyard recursion for now. I suppose if i get good with this deck and really enjoy it, I could always upgrade it along the path you suggested. Thanks for the help

Nice suggestions, but those 2 cards don’t really work toward the game plan here. Invasion can’t be reanimated from the grave and the Reaver doesn’t provide anything more than an extra 1/1 body. If anything I need another creature that has a milling effect similar to Mire Triton at cmc 3 or less and is B and/or W. I don’t want to make this 3 colors if I don’t have to but more self-milling is what it probably needs more of.
